  1. If you race only then gut the dash and the doors and get light seats. I'm doing this to my race only camaro now.

  3. The aircraft paint stripper spray does a nice job. Spray on thick and leave for about 10 minutes, repeat as needed.
  4. You must already have it wired in since you're seeing an rpm signal.
  5. You need about a 40cc combustion chamber to get that compression ratio. I'm not sure what cc the heads would be after .080" mill.
  6. If you shaved the P90 and installed flat tops you will increase compression.

  9. I'm also planning to make my own aluminum intake. What I've found is a welder is just plain too expensive. I'm going to buy a oxy acetylene torch (about $300) and rent the tanks. Check out this video.
  10. I had many problems with my Lc1. I got 2 bad units. Finally swapped for an Autometer. A few years later still no problems with the Autometer.
  11. That's a lot of dwell. The bip373 will really heat up. I read they are supposed to shut down if they get too hot but mine started smoking also. I don't think it 'shut down'.
  12. Noone is always correct. I was using JS10 at first because the board comes that way. At the time there was almost no documentation on how to properly set it up. D14 works good for me and JS10 did not so I will always recommend D14.
  13. The stim plugs in place of your harness. It simulates the engine's sensors and such. A valuable tool when using MS.

  15. How was your experience with Delta Cam? I called him today and it's crazy inexpensive, about $100 to do the cam and rockers less shipping...

  17. Something like 6 for cranking and 3 for running. Are you getting an rpm signal when cranking?
  18. If you get the 3.0 board you can always upgrade to MS2 by swapping the processor.
  19. I remember you telling me to use D14. I just tried to find the old emails to see why but I couldn't. Sorry for the confusion.
  20. I'm using MS2 on 2 L28 datsuns. One is a 3.0, one is a 3.57. On the 3.57 I tried using JS10 and was having problems. I contacted Matt, he suggested D14. Since I was already using D14 on my 3.0 I set up D14 on the 3.57. I soldered a lead to pin 7 of the cpu with a 330 ohm resistor to the bip373 and the engine started running good. You seemed very adamant about not trying a documented solution to your problem.
  21. Matt figured out my problem. My trigger angle was in a bad area. I set it to 60* and fine tuned the timing by adjusting the distributor and it's working perfectly. Thanks
  22. D14 is a better, stronger output. I guess you'll just have to live with the problem instead of fixing it.
  23. With the Jatco 2nd will start slipping with increased hp. I just went with a 700r4 so I can handle 400+ hp and have overdrive.
  24. I think D14 would be a better output than JS10...I also get a smoother running engine when I set accel enrich to 0% tps.
