  1. I think that thing looks butt ugly from the front. makes it look kinda like you hit something and bent the airdam in on the sides
  2. You give me hope to do this myself one day
  3. I have to disagree with tapering the edges, but to each his own
  4. Tony D has experience, but then again he has done it all.
  5. wow very lucky. Glad to here both you and your child are alright.
  6. Wel hopefully the water didn't fracture the block. It should have had enough room to expand into ice without destroying anything. Unfortunately you said the core plugs didn't pop, so the easiest route out of the engine didn't give...could be good sign (water expanded freely and didn't damage anything) or bad sign (ice found another way out, likely through places where parts come together i.e. block and head)
  7. Also when you tighten them, make sure you do increments, like torque them all to 30lbs/ft, then all to 45lbs/ft, then 60lbs/ft etc.
  8. I saw one selling on zcar. The thing was from Japan, a notable manufacturer. The guy was selling it for $1200
  9. John, What kind of limit is on the koni's you sell? I've heard great thing's from the koni yellows(?)
  10. Probably not a good idea, depends on the rates for the struts, the fluid inside, and the design.
  11. I love that gray/grey. Reminds me of an elephant. Where in Socal are you located Rimal?
  12. No those spring rates are for his Type R, the one in my sig.
  13. Really comes down to how sensitive the driver is. My brother loves really stiff rides, he has 8N/mm in the front and 10N/mm in the rear. Not a comfortable ride by any means... conversion factor to get lbs/in you divide those numbers by .0179
  14. Yeah this should be a sticky. The thread is gushing with knowledge that has been compiled into one spot for easy access
  15. So this only applies to heads that are just stock and directly bolt on? Should I begin to rethink my idea of an E88 on a L28 flattop? I'm getting a .495 lift/ 290 duration cam and port/polish done
  16. Yeah it could have been worse, if the wheel had just popped out over a bump, The driver side would have nose dived. I can't really complain since only the fender and tire were ruined.
  17. It's looking great, keep the pictures coming. Hopefully when I have the money and time I'll be able to do this
  18. Has this ever happened to anyone. I know I haven't touched the suspension since I bought the car and I've owned it for about a year and a half. The 2 bolts that connest the strut tube housing to the front control arm sheared and snapped on my driver side. Upon further inspectfion they were grade 8.8 bolts, not sure if they were just regular do-it-center stuff. The bump steer spacer was installed. I've replaced them With grade 10.9 industrial strength stuff but I'm stll shaking when I drive over bumps. Luckily this happened about 5 min after i got off the free way, when I was heading down a main street. The fender is going to be scraped, but should be getting a new pair this weekend.
  19. That gasket appears to be newer than everything else in the engine bay. PO probably thought it was a blown heagasket and changed it, tried to start it, and it turned out to be something else that he didn't have the time or money to mess with.
  20. I would be interested, but they can't have a blanket rate, or they have to have a lot of different rates obviously. If you can keep it cheap, I'm all for it Richard 1974 260z track and autocross
  21. good choice. You'll find a use one day for it
