  1. I think this could get a Z moving pretty darn well. http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=508764 Tyson
  2. Just FYI, LS2 isn't carbed stock, its Fuel Injected. Its only carbed if you've converted it to be carbed. Sorry for all your bad luck with cars, recently. Tyson
  3. Okay so I'm looking into painting my Z and trying my hand at painting itself. What that means is that I need all tools for painting without breaking the bank. The body is very very straight, and there is no rust repair to be done. So far I've been looking for a compressor and a paint gun(s). Compressor: http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/product.do?BV_UseBVCookie=Yes&vertical=TOOL&pid=00916732000&subcat=Air+Compressors+%26+Inflators Paint Gun: http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=15988&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=1339&iSubCat=1354&iProductID=15988 Compressors are expensive, from the the places that I've been looking, and I'd like the keep the cost around 300 if at all possible. What ever is the least to suffice in painting the car. I've heard of good things for the Paint guns on the paint forums, but would like to double check. Any other crucial tools you'd like to point out I would appreciate. Tyson
  4. Yeah that was awesome!!! My next hybrid is just gonna have to be a Porsche. That was really cool, great post. Tyson
  5. Well, see its not a plastic setup which is why I thought it would be different. I asked on LS1tech.com and the told me here http://www.wilsonmanifolds.com/ go to buy online, then throttle body accessories and scroll down. Cast just like what you were looking for Davy. Tyson
  6. Okay the part number is PN 88958675 but that seems to only be the open intake manifold, not the elbow or TB. So, not that much help unfortunately. The book is, good, it gives a good history of the motor and how it came about along with some good HP builds. IMO it wasn't the "BEST" book for engine building/modifying, and is kind of dated. Hope that helps, i'll try to find more about the elbow thing. Tyson
  7. Davy, in my How to Modify your LS1 book, they say that GM Performance parts offers that entire setup for the top-mount intake, and TB. I'll get the book out if i can find it, and post the part number. Tyson
  8. Looking good, sorry I haven't chimed back in here in a little while, had knee surgery. I saw your Z at MSA nicely done, Welcome again to the board and nice specs one the motor. Tyson
  9. Welcome to the board, any pics of the rest of the car as well? Tyson
  10. Awesome, thanks Dan for doing a good job with this site. Might want to get rid of the "rainbow" colors . Tyson
  11. So just curious what means what with the new ranking system? I'm no longer on a distinguished road . It does look cool just want to know whats behind it. Tyson
  12. Try reading the rules and regulations of this website. That and search about posting limits, its all been answered many times. Tyson
  13. I think the car is going to look hot no matter what. *off topic* Darius quit driving the TT Blue and Silver Viper on streetfire.net and focus on the Z . Tyson
  14. Awesome!! Hopefully I'll have mine done by then too, maybe we could park near each other, instead of being dispersed throughout the show. Tyson
  15. I had a good time, saw some pretty sweet S30's and S130's. However after going to the show, and seeing so MANY tripple carb Z's that their price should go down some. I was kinda disappointed with the lack of swap motors, and wish I could have seen, Owen's car, Dan's Car, and Ulises car but had no luck. Still was great, can't wait to make it down with my Z as well. Tyson
  16. I saw that earlier today, was curious what happened. Sorry to hear about that, hope you get it fixed. Car still looked good. Tyson
  17. Hmm, not a car i want to run into.... would be fun to see it romp on unsuspecting cars. Tyson *EDITED*
  18. Guys just curious, is anyone going to the Z-Car Banquet at the Citrus Cafe? Or is there a plan for doing something after the Demo/ Garage sale saturday? Just trying to optimize my Z talk time Tyson
  19. This might help: http://www.turbotechnologyinc.com/turbocharger_manifolds.htm and this even though directed at LS1's: http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=208864 Tyson
  20. Yes they are legal, though not the best way to get out of a ticket if you get pulled over. *officer* "whats that radar detector for?" *you* "uhhh, I love cops....." Tyson
  21. For that to be such a great idea, and quite a complex model, their website and poor quality of video makes me wonder about the true quality of their product. I mean the idea seems very cool, but there is a lot that I'm left questioning about. Tyson
  22. I'll be there saturday and sunday, sporting hybridZ and Datsun stuff. Tyson
  23. Wee!!! Finally got em, thanks again Mat. Here are some pics on what I'm gonig to do with 2 of my hybridZ patches. The third is going on to the Datsun (only) Patches Jacket. I need to figure out a way to mount the patch to the Cowboy Hat... any suggestions? Tyson
  24. I guess since I finally made a decision for me, I'll vote, then update later when its on the road. LS1/T56 Tyson
