  1. the other $100 motor is an F54 non turbo. It needs to be bored? I'm going to keep the turbo block.
  2. This is yet another motor I bought saterday morning at AllZ for $100 it had dished pistons already.

  4. I'm running about 10 pounds of boost, and I have NEVER!! felt horse power like this. I think my other moter was never all there, because this is crazy push you back in the seat kinda stuff. 1st gear has no tracktion at all, 2nd same thing, and broke it loose in 3rd. When I pushed the T3 to 15 pounds it was NOTHING like this. The motor is another $100 1975, dished piston motor. Nothing speacial. I put my P90 head on, my Holset hy35. I'm now going to get MSnS. And run this motor for about a year (if it will last) then put some forged pistons in my turbo block thats in my shop.
  5. Its an L28, but I am now finding spots in the hone where it did not hone through, low spots. Dammmmmmmmmmm!! I need to stop wasting money! The crank looks soooooo good too.
  6. How can I tell if they are forged? I will get some pics from the bottom. They are a very shinny aluminum. It has new "freeze" plugs, rear main seal. The guy I got it from said it was rebuilt, but did not know much about it. It has small dings in the piston like the timming was not set right at first try? The guy said he drove the car. It was running good the guy said, but the valves look dirty?? you can see the cross hatch still, and the top of the piston is marked "STD" On the bottom side, the skirt of the piston looks etched for the crank to clear, and it seems like the crank comes just mm from the pin of the piston. Does anyone know what I have????
  7. whoa there tiger. You need to go to a cowtown Z car club meeting and talk to some of the people there for tips. Last night was the last meeting. Its every 2nd thursday of the month. You really should just drop a turbo in there. Then you wouldn't waste your gas on a z28, go for a Viper, ya, I said Viper.
  8. lots of fun here in the big texas. every 2nd thursday night in the ft worth area cowtown Z car club meets for pizza, beer, z car talk, then beer, and ummm? more beer? If you come out, I'll let you sit in my car:? lol
  9. check your green relay, if its bad it will turn over all day long but not start. Also what kind of CAS (crank angle sensor) do you have. If thats bad it will again turn over all day long, but not start.

  12. Yea just get the car running again, then do a slow search for a good V-8. I can see the rubber bands!! how much weight have you lost since the jaw thing?

  15. I have had to take the oil pan off so many times, I can get the rack off in no time, and the front tires are still in line. good luck my brother.
