  1. You know you have the perfect wife when she agrees to buy you a rollcage for your 20th Anniversary (today) to go inti your project car. And thanks to BJ Hines for posting one for sale at the exact tight time. John I will get you the info as soon as I get it. Next, get Rogers (ZWolf) extra imsa body kit on my car and painted and I am ready for next season. 2010 is going to be a Great Year. Tom
  2. I am sure I could find someone at Progress Energy (local power company) to talk to you about a job and then you could drive your Z's all the time. My folks live in Palm Bay. Nice little town. Tom
  3. Wow, I could have used this last week. I had to buy new ball joints due to boots decaying and auto store did not have any that fit. I will get these new boots and keep the old ones for spares when I go to the track. Tom
  4. Signal34, the install is straight forward. Dave @ AZC sends a complete kit to do the entire job. Choosing pad compound to suit your driving needs is most important. Tom
  5. I have a set of Diamond wheels 16x8.5 with 4.5" backspacing. They fit with the Toyota brakes and I just switched to AZC (Daves) Wilwood brakes and still no fitment issues. Tom
  6. I have the Wilwood equivalent to Hawk Blues which I used in the Toyo calipers. friend uses this same setup with his HSR racecar with no issues so I am sure my slow pace will not over work them. Tom
  7. Well there will be no reason for me not to late brake into the corners anymore. Just fitted Daves AZC front kit to go along with the rear Wilwoods. Now I just need the balls to go late... Tom
  8. My 72 240Z has been resting in a junkyard right outside of Lexington since 1981 when I crashed it my freshman year at UK. One too many at ATO frat party that we raided. Tom
  9. Blakt Out, I would say that the picture of your car on the lift is the one I am most jealous of. Very nice running gear that I hope to do to mine some day.
  10. Well my Wilwood brakes came in 2 days before I need to leave to do a NASA event at Sebring this Saturday. I still need to bleed then do a test run up and down the street. Looks like it is time to list my 280zx setup for sale.

    Wilwood rear brakes

Finally got my Wilwood rear brakes on and got rid of the 280ZX brakes.
  12. Tore my old disc brake setup off and am waiting for my new Wilwood kit to get to me. What is the correct way to re-install stub axles. Leave bearings in place and hammer axles back in or remove bearings and press them on axles and then re-insert axles. I cannot remember how I did it last time and I need to get this done quickly and correctly to make Sebring event on Saturday. Tom
  13. Phil, car looks good, with or w/o the added graphics. That video is so cool. You are now immortalized and can show your family members forever. Besides your own videos. Tom
  14. open hot & humid or cold & dry weather Tom
  15. Well at least he parked it front of a house with not too much gang grafitti on it.... Tom
  16. You can either just block off passages or just connect with a section of hose. Tom
  17. Once you get there Vegas dictates itself. Believe me you will not have to look hard to find things to do even if you do not gamble. Have fun. Tom
  18. Paul, did you ever get a chance to weigh that car before you got rid of it? Tom
  19. Thanks John, I saw those responses on my google search but was not sure if they were related. Tom
  20. I was trying today to get hold of John at Sunbelt in Sugar Hill GA today. His phone number he has on a Google search is no longer any good. Tried with 411 in both Sugar Hill and surrounding area no listing for any Sunbelt engines, Motors or close resemblance. Any of you GA guys know if he still has a shop in town. Thanks, Tom
  21. SuperPickle - by proactive law enforcement I mean I go out and look for infractions and for people showing tendencies that will soon turn to things that are not safe for others. As compared to waitng for people to crash and then deal w/the aftermath. MisterZ - the FL "MOVE OVER LAW" is when you see law enforcement/fire rescue stopped on the side of the road you are suppose to move over 1 lane(multi lane road) and slow down a little. It "IS NOT" a move over so you can go faster then the traffic ahead of you. Tom
  22. We finally finished Clarks airbox. Made it out of FG panels my neighbor got from airline industry. He had to outdo my car!!! Hard to see but we also fabbed up an air inlet for cooler air for intake.
  23. That is why I wish they would let us have more unmarked patrol cars. People tend not to drive that way while I am out in marked car. Even now when I don't have lights on top. I am out there in my POV just licking my chops at all the activity I could be getting. Oh well, REACTIVE instead of PROACTIVE enforcement. Tom
