  1. I agree. I'd check it over extremely well before dropping $300 on something that should cost much more in theory. Dan Juday has the nicest Z with a 305 that I know of on this board. His car does very well with the 305 and he has not replaced it yet, even years later. Davy
  2. Anything having to do with little blue pills? Happy B-Day, Larry Davy
  3. Took your idea and changed the title. Thanks, Mull. Davy
  4. Love those Bad Dog rails--they make the car very stiff compared to the stock ones. Davy
  5. No, he doesn't. He was on about five or six years ago. The piece looked trick. I keep seeing ones advertised for Hondas on ebay, which makes me want to buy one & try it out just for the price. Davy
  6. I loved my Q45! Talk about a very well built car that can do 150 mph! I'm sure the M is even better. Props for buying such a nice car, Yasin. I think a plush DD is a good thing, personally, but I refuse to get old... Davy
  7. A number of years ago, "datto" who is a member here installed one from a Supra that fit perfectly. What year of Supra? I have no idea, but it fit perfectly and looked great to boot---it's worth investigating that little tidbit if you really want something like this. Davy
  8. More like "awesome pain." I think he's dead. What a stupid way to go. Davy
  9. Grumpy, which anti-drain back oil filters do you use in your cars? Are there any you consider to be the best? Just curious. Great tip about the MMO, by the way. Davy
  10. Hah! That's the same place my brother had his 6x9's mounted in the back. I remember that it seemed to work very well and he had some decent sound. I think he had front speakers under the dash or something like that. He avoided anything to do with cutting up the doors. I like the idea of mounting everything in the trunk and using a remote up front. It's nearly impossible to find veritical mount stereos from what I've seen. I'm curious to find out what you'll do. The car looks good black, but red will do fine too Thanks for sharing the photos with us. Davy
  11. Copper? Wow, whowouldathunk? I like it. I have seen fuel lines in copper, but never brake lines. Neat idea. Davy
  12. I looked your build photos on Cardomain and I have to say, very nice work You even put a lot of detail into the suspension and everything. The car is a real gem. What's also nice is that the car looks rather "stock." The bad thing is that you'll be going through tires like there is no tomorrow! Davy
  13. SEM brand of vinyl and plastic interior paint/dye has been excellent. I have used it for redoing the uneven finish on black plastic interior pieces. Good prep makes it look perfect (like new) and it's durable too. I bought it from an automotive paint store. Davy
  14. Mike D can still make them. I think Auxilary has his contact number or email address. I used to have his phone number, but I'm not sure if it's still good. Mike is trustworthy and a machinist to boot. Davy
  15. Post #28 seems to have a lot of specific info though. The videos are pretty cool, the car goes like stink. Davy
  16. The car looks great painted! Nice work and fast too Davy
  17. Sweet! I have always liked the way you have made your both car quick and functional, but still made it look good too. I suppose looking good AND being quick is about the best thing you can do with the car Nice. Davy
  18. Hmm, that is surely some good ingenuity, making something work from nothing; cheap too. You are using this with a WC T5 and V8 conversion, yes? Davy
  19. For the SBC I would go JTR all the way. John's Cars is better for the LSx motors. You may still need this site on occasion for help during the swap. The information is there, just remember to search Davy
  20. That will work! And, they also sell extra thick valve cover gaskets too. I used some red RTV to 'glue' two thin ones together and it surely does work. However, if I was to do that again, I'd buy the extra thick gaskets instead. Davy
  21. This is brilliant and is basically what I wanted to do. I didn't know Professional Products was selling their manifolds and rails yet--super! There were three choices I was looking at and none of them are for free: 1) PP manifold (as above) and putting everything else together as time and budget permits. Total price for "everything" $$$$? Guess at $2000-$3000?? 2) MassFlo system, totally plug-and-play like the kind that is used on Wayne's R's TTV8 Z car ~$3500 with everything. Pretty sure on that... 3) LT1 (use whole engine, not just efi parts) and use LT1 Edit for software to help with the compatibility for turbo...cost ~$3000-$3500?? Wayne's MassFlo w/turbos: Xander's Professional Products efi manifold: Nothing is cheap, but cobbling together stock parts that will work with a turbocharged V8 sounds intriguing, if it can be done with minimal frustration. I understand about the learning curve for EFI, turbos and like if you are a carb guy like me. I suppose the LT1 is the fastest/easiest to install, the MassFlo would run nearly equal with that, while the PP sounds like it would be the most work--getting everything after the fact and putting it all together, hoping that the combination of parts works out. But the satisfaction of making it happen that way...Hmmmm. I'm still thinking about this... Davy
  22. Your picture won't load from your personal computer since it's not public domain. It has to be hosted somewhere. You can upload it for free on this site... Davy
  23. It's missing the Subtle Z hood: Davy
  24. http://www.roadsters.com/art/ Anything you can want as far as car art. I have looked for hours on individual artists and stuff. Cool. Congrats on the baby! Look for HotWheels art and posters or ones made by George Trosley who does Krass & Bernie comic strips in CarCraft. Davy
