  1. Best quote from the article: "Hughes claimed he couldn't remember the incident, having drunk the better part of a 2 1/2-gallon (10-liter) box of wine beforehand." Now that, my friend, is truly funny... Davy
  2. My Honda Civic just pulled 47 mpg (no kidding!) on a 500 mile trip. 40 in town would be OK I guess, especially from a sport bike, but wouldn't you want 75+ mpg from a scooter just to save some more gas money?? Davy
  3. I suppose you could use a heat gun if you are VERY careful. As was just mentioned, you could use a smoothing tool to get the lumps down. Also, dittos on the SEM paint: Landau Black is by far the best paint/dye for matching or coloring plastics & vinyls. Yes, I have used the product on new *gasp* vinyl and it made it look even better!! It makes the finish on everything very even and monochrome. Variances in the gloss of the interior pieces detracts from the quality look everyone wants to have, but can't easily achieve. Dan Juday---that was really cold.... Davy
  4. I may end up buying the Mosers from Ross at the end of the year, but my 3.9 R200 is there to stay at the moment. I do have a NICE R230 waiting to be installed too My lowly SBC may not be enough to turn it though BTW, nice times at the strip! Man, that's really smokin' for your wimpy Khumo's. I have the same tires too hahahaha! Based on your experience, I won't expect much when I go to the strip... Davy
  5. AGREED! Also, what about James Garner's mustang in Grand Prix? It wasn't used extensively or anything--I just like 'em! Davy
  6. Prayers on the way. I'm very sad to hear about this, Dan. We certainly feel for the family and friends in their loss. Davy
  7. Cable, what gears are you running with that torque monster? I'm really curious. Your car intrigues me My old post was so poorly written back then---it's supposed to imply that the rest of the car needs to be matched to your motor, otherwise it's "out of balance." Davy
  8. Wow, on my car I had them reskin the roof and they only did the top portion I believe. Mine appears to be done "correctly" and it looks great too, although not painted yet. I had them eliminate the side vents and the drip rail while they were at it. Cost me $650. I thought that was more than fair Your car looks great and it'll look even better with new paint. I hope I get there too some day Davy
  9. Excellent! Good to have you guys back once again!! I was wondering if you had given up on the project or anything. I'd love to see your car on the road again. A lot of new things in the site, including a "members projects" forum. You can post a complete build up of you car, have HybridZ host the photos and keep it solely your own thread. No one can post there except you (admin too). Anyway, great to see you back for more abuse Davy
  10. Good!!!!!!!!!!! Now you can come back to us an play Admin again?? Congrats, Scottie! I hope we will see more of you around now. Davy
  11. Nice little drag car you found. I think a BBC will do that car nicely! Like the Toy pickups BTW--too cool. Davy
  12. You did very well against all except the rail dragster! Too bad about the carnage, but I'm sure you'll fix it soon. Nice runs though... Davy
  13. Go to ebaymotors and punch in "alternator bracket." There are a lot of low priced alternatives there that will work fine! Davy
  14. VIDEOS! WE NEED VIDEOS! Nice work in making all of that fit. It should run like a raped ape when complete Davy
  15. Lookin' good! I'm not usually into the 2+2s, but this is going to be SICK! I can't wait to see the finished product!! Davy
  16. I agree, the bumper needs to be there to break up the huge field of horizontal lines. Very nice work in making that fit! Davy
  17. If you don't like 'em send 'em to me Yes, me likey. Davy
  18. Happy Birthday, Pete!!! Hope you have a grand one!! Davy
  19. Very good looking silver paint--GM color? Toyota? ??? Davy
  20. Put me down for two as well. Gracias Davy
  21. That's a pretty cool car. I have liked the Falcons ever since I saw Mad Max way back when. They had the best of Ford 70's styling. I suppose it's no surprise that they are also fetching high prices at auctions, just like most muscle cars do in America. Davy
  22. Wow, I had no idea you did all that. NICE page and extremely useful too Davy
  23. Scott, I'm looking forward to the writeup on the brake install. Which begs the question, "Which kit did you buy?" Methinks you bought a kit to match the brutal nature of your Datsun beast I'll probably buy from Ross too when I get the chance. The only stopping me would be buying one second hand. Davy
