  1. Bout the MINI's, I think it is primarily their size that makes them handle so well. IMHO they would be even better with RWD or AWD as far as handleing, but that is just me. Also, American manufactures should make something like the MINI, but it is really small for the American market, so it would be hard for them to sell it in large numbers. I would think any way.
  2. $417 for a 60 in a 40 omg, that is ALOT of money for not that much speed.
  3. I haven't seen a cover like that on the r200 vlsd you posted maybe it is the 88 SS... Are there any CLSDs in the yard?
  4. I think most european cars already have their suspensions tuned a bit more then American cars for sporty driving, so comparing a Euro FWD to an American RWD is apples and oranges, imho. Also, I think FWD cars can't outrun RWD cars unless like you said the RWD is poorly engineered. In a straightline though my money is on the RWD for a normal 3000 lb car with 200+ horse.
  5. Also, this doesn't help you after the fact at least I don't think... But if you had partition magic you could boot with a floppy, resize your c: drive, and leave maybe 3-4 gigs of unallocated space. Then install windows on the empty space and go from there.
  6. Ya, they would of needed spacers any way. But still that would be under $1,000 total which isn't bad. I could get a set of the 16X7's for about 900 total, but I don't want 7". I am going to stick the the 16X8 grids, just have to wait till about february thats all.
  7. I would agree if it was an s30, but if it is a z32, I think the chevy or a 5.8L ford would be a better decision. Whats the point in going ford 5.0 if it has less or only marginal potential over stock. Plus a z32 is so heavy any way.... BTW: the SBF 5.0 is what i'm doing in the 240z, so happy I chose that over chevy. I like chevy too, but for my goal which will never ever exceed 500hp the 5.0 is a great match.
  8. Wrong thread dude.... And search, I havent read the post but I bet you didn't search
  9. Thats what I was thinking... There is the 88 SS though right? Would you please post the pic here?
  10. the guy claime donly 14lbs each, they wer eprobly more like 15 but still
  11. MSA sells a kit. You really should search. But off the top of my head I believe there are some 3.1's and 3.2's running around that make about 320-340 hp. It isn't bad, but it is high strung at that point. If you want to make more I think turbo will need to be used. As far as cost the MSA big bore kit is $1,800 (i looked it up) and then your going to want a cam with springs and all that $200, triple webers or mukinis $1000-1500 unless you want to go EFI, and I don't know some clutch components and what not $500. Assuming you are going from stock to that. So basically it is in the $3,500 range. Then of course we multiply by 1.5 because thats how budgets work. You are looking at spending $5,250 all things concidered. Just a rough estimate, really rough, seeing as I am a 5.0L Z guy. Just giving you an idea.
  12. Ya, chevy or ford? And.... are you putting the 5 litre in a z32....???
  13. Did asia get different diff's then US. I bet they did which will of course complicate things...
  14. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/16-x-8-57s-gramlights-30-offset-for-240sx-silvia-180sx_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ107065QQitemZ4594210263QQrdZ1 Missed it by $10... But then again I only have $780 in my account so it is probably better I didn't run it up, still, those wheels were a steal. Especially because they don't come in 16X8 anymore, only 16X7. Myabe they were special order?
  15. Sucks, I think I tore a right speaker in my explorer. That definetly wasn't the fault of the car though, I was putting some, uh... copious bass through them.
  16. I love how the newsreporter was like "So is McDonald's name really tarnished" they love to say **** like that when everyone knows that McDonalds the company isn't going to have its image hurt. It is just so cheasy, like they are trying to make small talk.
  17. What I do, for anyone who cares, Is i keep windows on its own partition with the program files. Then on a secondary partition I put all the documents, you can even hook the "My Documents" button up to the secondary drive directly. You don't know the difference until your computer crashes and you need to format, then you are happy. And, get partition magic
  18. I suggest some one mail him a 240z half shaft just to make sure, would suck if all these r200's show up and they don't fit. Unfortunatly I don't have an extra half shaft :S
