  1. I think that is probably also because 260/280z's were not that much lighter than 280zx's.
  2. I like z31's about a 6/10, 9/10 being a 240z, 8's are the 260/280 (for the bumpers), 4/10 for the zx's. That is my opinion on stock looks. My main problem with z31's/z32's is not the car itself, but the type of person they are associated with. Not so much z31's, but z32's seem to have too much of a tuner/rice following for me, but that definately would not be one of the main purchasing factors.
  3. Agreed, bumpers and the grills on the quarters are ugly imho. It isn't as sleek but that isn't necessarily bad. I dislike the weight though. And yes, it is typical 80's and I dislike most cars from that period.
  4. The person obviously just did this to make a statement or piss people off lol. It doesn't make sense to put in the RB unless he really does plan on going crazy powerful. But a 302 is lighter and has a lower cg (i believe on the cg part), also I think a big block or a 351 might have more street potential.
  5. I believe diesels inject the fuel directly into the cylinder not at the manifold, so there would be no provision for injectors. I could be wrong though.
  6. I hate the new cars only for being heavy, I think it is ridiculous. But in the end I guess it just means more powerful motorswaps for Z's BTW gollum I don't think muscle cars run 2.0L turbo fours so, the rules out rally as a basis for american performance. Although I think it would be totally sweet if one of the Big 3 came out with a light american car powered by a 2.5ishL v8's with twin turbos, would be sweet to beat the japanese at their own low displacement game. Alas that won't happen until I become ceo of one of those companies so keep your fingers crossed for now. Note: About the japanese improving the performance and all that. I totally agree, the american companies don't do enough in the way of updating their performance technologies and evolving their cars. Although I see their reasoning, it must be very hard for the Big 3 to justify making a really fast, light, strong car when the majority of the population wants a room on wheels. In japan I think they appreciate cars more for their performance compared to the average joe out here. I could be wrong though.
  7. Okay, so i tried searching for this one, but most of the stuff didn't answer my question. The search for some reason doesn't include the key word "2" or "two", and way. So there is a set of two piece wheels I am intrested but they are in the +40 offset range. Can the center be unbolted, the flange machined off, and then rewelded on a couple of inches back to get the offset more like 0? Is that dangerous? I guess there would also be a mark where the flange used to be.
  8. Yep they are kind of getting screwed but the mustang gt still makes it to 60 in 5.1, is rwd, and heavy. So i don't think people are getting screwed that bad until this 4000 lb beast comes out.
  9. I think alot of cars have that reverse issue. The explorer used to do it alot when I was first driving. You will adapt to it in a week or two and it will never happen again unless you are needing to rush it. I wouldn't worry. I know this is offtopic kind of but if you are looking for a truck. A new xterra comes with a 6 speed manual, handbrake, and a 4.0L v6 that makes 265hp all for I believe 21k base.
  10. I couldn't even find Ford's curb weights on the site for the stang's. I heard it is between 3500 and 3750
  11. Oh my god... Did you permentantly damage any of the motion in your fingers?!?
  12. I clicked your link and it said "sorry no matches"
  13. Was that in reference to me? Was I wrong about the 4.6L ford not fitting? Sorry, some one correct me if I am wrong.
  14. Wonder why with four turbos it is only making 600hp and hasn't touched the 200hp/liter mark? Guess even the exotic brands have to have reliability.
  15. From a jy z31.... Or am I mising something?
  16. Those 225 won't fit on the 10" though... Sucks don't it. That why I got rid of my 15X8's I wanted to run 245's. The 265/275 for the rear should be easier, you will probably have to run a 225 up front though.
  17. Anyone know about the japanese 05L head that came on the early 70's skyline? Does it bolt to the L24? Better flow? I think it has round inlets and square exhaust ports.
  18. Oh wow, thats a long time from now. That is good maybe I can get the car running by then hehe.
  19. C:Documents and SettingsLocal SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftOutlookOutlook.pst Use import and export under the file menu in the new outlook. Select import from a file. Import from Personal Folder FIle, browse to the location above. Should load your stuff. I am not positive though.
  20. Ok so mike, the 2800 Outlaw vs the AZC 4 piston caliepr on the 12.2" setup. For flex?
  21. Take a picture of one with the cover off, then I'll tell ya if I want to order I don't want to have it arrive and be something I can't bolt in, that woul dbe bad news.
  22. Yes but a 4.6L (assuming you mean a sohc or dohc) does not fit in the engine bay of a 240z.
