  1. technically i welded a wedge into mine. make sure you measure it right. On mine at least, the manifold gets bigger pretty quick and can be to big for the flange... measure 7 times, cut once
  2. Well, got a little bit of tinkering done. Got the downpipe wrapped in that DEI titanium head wrap and fabbed up the evap valve. hopefully i can find a vacuum gauge tomorrow and test how much vac it will pull. Rebuilt the Z32 rear brake calipers, bead blasted the hubs, brake hardware, backing plates, etc and painted them. Played with my blinkers and all that, got some weird electrial issues i will have to sort out, but you dont need blinkers and headlights if its not on the road . Got my tube chassis 280z on its own wheels and took it to work to make room for the baby girl when she gets off life support. Hopefully this downpipe willn't be to low, it hangs down pretty damn good though. i think i might cut off the last 2 foot or so and stuff it in the hole better. wish i could get this damn drivetrain vibration solved 1st though. Im thinking i need to make a new rear trans mount. don't think this *Vendor omitted* one is going to work to my standards( not that its build quality or anything, just hard to make a suitable one with the stock trans mounts). left my camera at the office. pics later running outta energy... taking a cruize in july (provided i still have a company to run)... so that will be my vacation.
  3. thats what i did on mine (not the exact setup as you but same problem/solution)
  4. anyone know the k&n part number on these filters... they have so many different measurements... assuming these are not to small???
  5. yea they were the bigger of the bags. what is it 25lb and 50lb usually.... or is it 50 and 80, i cant remember i think 50 though. i blasted it out in the middle of nowhere and i used my scuba tank and my nira full face mask (like a firefighter one but for scuba), it was heavy as hell but 15mins screw it...
  6. +1 It sucks being at that point where you work on it all day and it doesn't seem like you did anything.
  7. finished the oil catch can... calling it a night im tired. I tried to find stainless steel but this town sucks so i had to settle for copper, i thought that would be better than the regular steel crap.
  8. Ok guys i need to fab up my intakes and here is what i have found others doing. what size filters are you using assuming you use 2. i was thinking about merging it into a big 4" or something too, not sure. i would like to get the rear intake away from the exhaust housing of the front turbo. i will try to snag some pics later of what i am thinking.
  9. if it matters i need the idler on a rb26 that tensions the AC
  10. i think i need one too. that or a parts diagram
  11. i would make my own but my swap came with them.
  12. ahahahha, thats not what i had in mind. hahaha also at least i know i dont like the volk GTZ on 240z
  13. I would like to see some more pics of s30s running the mufflers at like a 45 degree angle. i think i have seen maybe 2 pics on google.
  14. and very little clearance on the oil pan.. and a total pain in the ass if you are doing external sump plumbing. still havent been able to get my driveline angles right with the r230 swap.
  15. crazy, nice find. i have a decent basemap if you are using a map sensor on your setup. im running stock injectors at the moment. cranking only right now but maybe i will be tuned by the time your ready.
  16. wtf who did you buy your swap from? might wanna do a compression test. thats like 4 grand just for ems and manifold
  17. ok, broke out the lathe on the suspension and i am glad i did, turned out great. more pics to come. these are the lower perches that come with the ground control coilovers.... they made me laugh and reminded me of my hondas weaponR suspension... so giving the middle finger to that i made these. hammer tight tolerances turned out perfect i must say then i modified the top hats to fit inside the bearing like the oem perch... after that i i cut a little bit of the rubber on the isolator and put it together...
  18. make sure you have the adapter nipple in this picture... i think this is the stock one but it unscrews. you can get the adapter from raw brokerage but i think i told ya that already. i cant remember how the oem lines where, its been a mind numbing build.
  19. i have ground control with tokico 5 way adjustable (techno toy tuning). i dont have good pics but there are a few. read the FAQ in the suspension section. the tokico are a tad smaller diameter than the koni ones (not to mention a lot more affordable). what i did with my top hats are in my build thread.
  20. pdf sent. i think i have the bolts too. i replaced all my stuff with stainless. edit.. i would put some frame rails in there too so you dont bend the chassis.... bad dog frame rails.
  21. i have a r33 manual pdf if you need it. i cant upload because its too big. pm me your email.
  22. ive got stock intake manifold and butterflys... 300, can beadblast them and paint them if you like. (dont have a spare AAC and air regulator though)
  23. i should have my rb26 one floating around somewhere. or you can get that ebay pulley kit.
  24. That looks like a water pump not a turbo manifold I would like to drive a twin disk before i put that kinda cash down.
