  1. oh i did the engine bay, under the car, and the fender supports. its on the 1st page of my build thread.
  2. i think i used like 8 bags of sand (i know i know sand...) but i was liberal with the opening on the blaster.
  3. were you the one working on cf dashes? if so how is that coming along. any plans on cf zf fenders?
  4. after my swap i had to adjust the shaft length and the spot behind the petal.
  5. i sand blasted the bottom of my car, all done in 15 mins (commercial size tow behind 185 compressor and huge blaster). i wouldnt sand or soda the shell though. if blasting you should plastic media blast. soda will leave a residue and voids 9/10 paint warrantys.
  6. working on the oil catch can at the moment. trying to figure out if i want to vent it to the exhaust or not. still waiting on T3 parts to test drive. maybe finish the tank and work on the intake this weekend. ups lost my downpipe, so mckinney is making yet another haha. i really should have just made it to begin with. looks simple. then work on the exhaust. i am thinking 3" stainless with a 3" borla resonator and some sort of muffler. i like the HKS dragger look but i dont think you can get those anymore. i think the apexi N1 and hks, greddy is just to big.
  7. its a xexon, its been sitting in the sun for awhile though haha
  8. i tired to mount my urethane one this weekend and i gave up, it was so flimsy i would doubt it wouldnt crinkle going like 10 mph. i know you need to brace it and all but damn. granted i have had this one for about 3-4 years sitting here until this moment maybe that has something to do with it. i mounted my fiberglass one instead. i like the shape of the fiberglass one slightly better, bigger ducts.
  9. good to know, i also went for the stock pump instead of the N1. but i did get the N1 oil pump. time to start saving for rims a good clutch. Its sad, you could build a nice turbo honda motor for the price of a good pull clutch.
  10. well, i tell ya, everything is fighting me tooth and nail. went to install the blinkers and i heard something rattling around, ok no biggy i will just take off the lens and see whats up... well it was only the shiny bulb surround that was loose so i epoxied it back on there but to get the damn lens off i had to weld an attachment to each of the phillips screws cause they were all stripped and i couldn't get my vice grips down in there. holy hell what a pain, but its all done now. got the air damn mounted and the bumper mounted. starting to look like a car again.
  11. its nice to see a plan coming together.
  12. oh the people that actually picked up the car was MAG transportation. they are a company from here. just good timing...
  13. i used one of those transportation angencies. most of there fees are the same (about 125 bux) then they put it out on a network that the carriers see. i want to say it was like usa transportation or nationwide transportation, something like that. i would get a quote from Reliable Transportation. i think they are a big company but they have a rig that parks in a plaza when the driver is home and man what a nice setup they have... probably more for high end autos though.
  14. yea i have a 1/4 npt (biggest on the manifold) that i am gonna use for the booster. i have a 280z booster in there now with the 15/16 master cylinder.
  15. well, spent all friday and saturday drilling and tapping out all these broke off bolts, in the body, probably 20-25 of them, geeez... anyway trial fit the front lip and bumper, got the aem boost solenoid hooked up and wired, mounted the emblem on the valve cover finally, haha that should give me about 10hp right there... I'm starting to get excited, i know its premature but thats my nature are the stock injectors good for 12psi on stock turbos? i know the 1cc per hp rule, so i would think so but figured i would ask.
  16. Here is 2 front suspension shots. I pulled my 280z brake booster which had the 15/16 mc upgrade already on it. here is the 240z booster pattern. the 280z is slightly wider, hell you could slot these if you wanted to but i just redrilled it. I shuck the booster and didnt hear the reaction disk flopping around but i decided to investigate while i had it out, im glad i did. i was wondering how i was going to get the disk out,i used a air gun and blew it in at all angles and the reaction disk came flying out (lots of people have trouble getting it out, so just use the air gun mine has like a 45 degree tube on it so i could stick it down inside there). put some quick set epoxy on there (after i sanded and degreased the surfaces of course) and the end result... a 280z booster and a 280zx master cylinder. here is the clearances, kinda hard to see but its tight fit, but it fits none the less. *sigh* she is getting there... 3 steps forward, 2 steps back... so one at a time. hopefully T3 will have some parts next week so i can get the rear end done. now if i only had a way to pay for it i would be able to sleep at night...
  17. still not manifold yet huh... I'm 100% sure you would be posting pics within 20 mins of fed ex arriving at your house
  18. assuming the check valve is before the canister? and synthtk clean out your pm's i have been trying to pm you for a few years i was thinking about using some 2.5" pipe about 8" long do you think that would be enough?
  19. you put a urethane additive in the paint. if done right you should be able to bend it far without chipping the paint. i have seen bumpers folded in half (just about) and pop back without cracking the paint.
  20. poor skyline, she deserves so much better
  21. yea its like turning your car off and hitting the brakes... oooooh **** shop baby
  22. wouldnt the check valve negate any boost?
