  1. I had to do the same thing. i heated up the fitting on the engine and bent it slightly. No biggy just dont kink anything.
  2. Alright, life needs to get outta my way. Dash is out, i refurbished it and put sem trim black paint on it... I tired about 5 times with their texture coat, but gave up and used duplicolor bedliner for the texture. The gauges are mounted, just need to do the wiring. I am also refurbishing the heater core assembly and upgrading to the civic fan motor. I have only been home 1 weekend since the end of June so I havent had much time to work on it. Pics later. Thanks.
  3. Yea, I dont crimp anything, just soder and heat shrink.
  4. When i remove the amp meter can i just cap off the white/red or should i hook them together? Im not running a volt gauge.
  5. Did you have to leave the OEM potentiometer installed? I would assume yes, so that you can control the lights on the heater/center console, or you can tap those wires into the speedhut potentiometer?
  6. I got it it pretty much tuned to 5k rpm and i have been pretty good about keeping it there. Only running like 5-6 psi. Installing my speedhuts right now, then off to the dyno.
  7. Yea i know what you mean, I'm running the basemap on my aem and street tuned it for about 30 mins im getting sideways and im wayyyyy lean.
  8. Well after 2 cans of sem texture spray, I am giving up on that junk. I think I'm going to use bedliner or something for the texture.
  9. Do you recall where you got the double backed pad from?
  10. Ahhhh, doube foil backed, I will have to start my search.
  11. Yea, this problem has timing written all over it. My old honda prelude would look like it was dead nuts but it could still be a tooth off. I put 5 timing belts on it though the years (replaced it every time i was in there), and you could not tell if it was correct or 1 tooth off.
  12. I am putting some B-Quiet (dynomat) behind my dash and on the floor boards and all that fun stuff now. I'm trying to determine if want to use this old jute pad behind the dash and the old trans tunnel carpet. It looks smelly. I have bought some cheap insulation with the jute or whatever pad from black dragon along time ago, just not sure i want to use that due to it can get wet. granted if i put it on top of dynomat who cares...
  13. Some have problems getting the timing right on these. I know you probably already know this but, line up the marks on the gears and the block and also on the timing belt, then tension it.
  14. Oh no, not the window kit. I meant to do the interior.
  15. Yea, I'm doing power windows too, so its not an issue. How much did it cost to do that?
  16. Does anyone make a leather kit like Miles door panels are? I would like to keep the trans tunnel, lower door pieces and strut tower/ wheel well area leather but not diamond vinyl like oem.
  17. I would assume you used the spal window kit or something similar for the power windows? So clearance shouldn't be an issue i suppose.
  18. im in for a 240z set with speakers. i am going to be installing my power window kit shortly so the tweeter is perfect too.
  19. want to make me some door panels like that? got a mold?
  20. Ouch, make sure you clean your pipes and intercooler. Your lucky you still have an engine.
  21. Hey guys i have a 240z that i put a rb26 into. i baffled and sumped the tank. i have the oem vapor tank setup with new hoses and all. do i need to have a vented gas cap or can i just use the stock 240z one. i have a 280z i can steal stuff off if i need too. i currently do not have the vac line that sucks the vapors out of the vapor tank is not hooked up at the moment but i plan on hooking that up. Thanks
  22. Need a gas cap for a 72 240z. I would prefer a locking cap, but whatever.
  23. Well, I'm back from restriction (use capital letters). Going to pull out the dash and restore it and throw in some Speedhut gauges. Maybe one of these days i can take a paycheck from my business and get back in the swing of things.
