  1. guys.. i have the trans angled down 2.8 degrees and the flange on the r230 is up 2.6 degrees (technically i guess thats angled down, its higher in the front than the rear) and the driveshaft angle (angle finder on the shaft itself) is .2 up (higher at the rear). that should be like a 3.0 and a 2.8 operating anlge, but i still have a good vibration (no axles, tires or anything installed)... what am i doing wrong. I talked to T3 and they said they also a lower mount for the r230. currently i have mine shimmed down as much as i can (with full thread engagement on the mustache bar mounting bolts). suposidly the driveshaft is balanced, i do see 2 weights on it.
  2. the apexi ecu keeps MAF. still a bad thing about the 240z is that it is not a baffled tank, as long as you run a surge or a sump, should be fine, i opted for both
  3. looks good, i would rubber mount it then run a ground wire from the case to the chassis
  4. sad part none it is really gains performance but thanks i need some inspiration, now if i can find a chick that gives back and neck massages i'd be set

  6. well i dont get how to use this multiquote thing, but thanks joel. im gonna put a vac gauge on it and see how much it pulls. i know it pulls a small amount at high rpm but thats under no load. R34 heavy duty RWD, maybe the weakest link in the build?? Its a Mckinney one. no it doesnt attach to the trans but you do have to pull the trans to remove it, not all the way out but the flange will not clear the bottom of the bell housing.
  7. +1 photo shop the hood and the buckets body color except for the inside of the bucket, leave that cf... wonder if that would look badass
  8. dp hits tranny here here and here i modified it some with a 5lb slede hammer and a vice so it fits but it still rubs, gonna take care of that when i start making the exhaust and hacking this dp up. not impressed with these parts except the oil pan that was/is incredible.

  11. well another weekend down and nothing to show for it. Got the new downpipe installed, had to modifiy this one a little bit too. It still hits the transmission mount but im thinking of how i want to make a new one anyway so f that piece of ****. I measured the droop that the mckinney one has and its 1 inch drop from unweighted to weighted no wonder there is severe drivetrain vibes, turns out it broke my speed sensor when it drooped that much. anyone have one those those (red gear).

  17. yes i did that when i was polishing it... i dont have a pic of it though... looks like elite techs though.
  18. i could probably do that but that is gonna take me a bit longer... maybe after i get everything running real good i would look into something like that. I actually havent messed with CF i could do it out of fiberglass or something.
  19. i was actually looking at something like that but my intercooler is pretty big, i doubt a decent filter would fit in there, also dont want to be caught in the rain with a filter out front like that. i have a 3" crappy tapered filter (kinda like the k&n ones, and it will not fit next to my intercooler.
  20. i have a 72 240z and at the rear differential there are 2 "tees". i was thinking one was an actual tee and the other was a balance bar or something?
  21. Hey guys, getting close to installing my proportioning valve in the cockpit. i wanted to see where some of you are mounting yours. i saw 1 or 2 in different locations but i cant find that thread anymore....

  23. i was thinking about doing a dual 2.5 into a single... K&n has a dual 2.5 into a single filter but i wasnt sure that would flow enough. i have aem series 2 so i am using a map sensor... the hell with MAF. i think it was dual 2.5 inlets, like this filter
