  1. From the album: Mods

PALLNET fuel rail and balance bar on a set of period triple HKS throttle bodies.
  2. I'd say go for the higher rated one so you'll have room to grow as your mods increase, also another thing to bear in mind is that the torque ratings are from the flywheel not the wheels.
  3. I'm running an ACT unit, take a look at their website - www.advancedclutch.com, you can get a pressure plate and clutch combo that meet your goals and will have OEM feel since the power your looking at making won't need anything too fancy. Just look up your application and they describe the feel.
  4. Why not come over to the UK Zclub forum and introduce yourself, hopefully an experienced member could come with you to view and perhaps someone has already viewed it and can comment on condition. These cars are very rare over here and in most cases the club/club members ay knowof the car. They rust everywhere, but pay special attention to chassis rails, floor pans, inner wing flitches, inner rear arches, rad support panel and bonnet support panels. As long as the repairs have been done well don't be too alarmed ie have new panels been used or just patched over?
  5. As title states, I'm just looking for the input shaft from a 280ZX Turbo T5. Hook me up If you can pease! I need it shipped to Florida and have Paypal. Thanks.
  6. Very cool set up, I was looking for one of these for ages years ago but couldn't find one. I even thought of giving it a go and making one but never did happen. I first read and saw one in the book by Corky Bell called Maximum Boost. My HP goals have changed now so it's no longer of interest, but great find!! I would have bitten your right arm to own it at one point Here's a link to the photo from Maximum boost, courtesy of Atlantic Z club
  7. If no one can help you, then as a last resort find a shop with a cam doctor. They can even measure each individual cam lobe to check consistency. What's the lobe lift?
  8. Pete, let me publicly say thank you, that is awesome work and I can't wait to fit it. If you've never dealt with Pallnet before, then you won't know what a great guy he is to deal with. Always goes the extra mile, true to his word and always a gent.
  9. Ian, how desperate are you for these. If you PM me what you want exactly I'd be happy to call Dave on your behalf and order them for you providing you paypal Dave the money directly. Anyway, it's an option.
  10. Mike, that's a work of art, nicest set up I've seen in a long while.
  11. By the way, if you need parts or advice, you can't go wrong calling or emailing these guys in the UK: eurocarb ltd. 256 Kentwood Hill Tilehurst Reading, UK RG31 6DR Tel +44 (0)118 943 1180 Fax +44 (0)118 943 1190 sales@dellorto.co.uk www.dellorto.com
  12. I can't tell you how to tune but I can share this diagram with you that may be helpful to you?? I was going to run turbo Dellortos and I picked up a set, I even purchased a couple of books on Amazon about them. From what I have read and also hearing the experience of those who run Dellortos it's a very capable carb and one that is highly respected by those that know their carbs.
  13. I say go for it but also look into the TSI engine. Twin charger petrol engine, that will have good gas mileage too. Not sure if your transmission adaptor would work though.
  14. Awesome Mike, that's good to know. Any pics you could share would be great.
  15. Hi there, I've been following your build with interest and its gone a bit quiet.. Any more updates ?
  16. P30-0032 might not be available at present directly from Bilstein in the US but shox.com may be able to get you a set, they did for me about a month ago.
  17. Thanks Steve. I'll also check out the shifter you mention. Anyone had any experience with a late 240z hole clearance? I'm hoping no mods are required.....
  18. Hi guys, I've got a late 240Z and will be fitting a WC T5 transmission mated to the L series. I've read a lot of posts which states the shifter comes a couple of inches forward then the stock location. I will be using the 280ZX NWC T5 bell housing along with it's tail shaft modified to take the larger WC output shaft. As far as I understand, please correct me if I'm wrong, I won't need to alter the chassis shifter hole but I would have to alter the centre console. Is this true for a late 240Z also? Or is there a shifter solution which will allow me to install without modifying the console? If you've got a part number for the shifter or pics of what you've done please share! Thanks.
  19. Hi, thanks for your message. I saw your T5 in the for sale ads, it's very nice but not what I'm currently after. I'm also no longer looking for an input shaft so thread closed.
  20. Hi there, As title states, looking for one of these, please let me know if you have one for sale. Thanks.
  21. Does anyone have a bellhousing from a 280ZX Turbo T5 for sale? Please let me know. Thanks.
  22. You are correct, that's the HKS version, how do I know? I am running the same manifold with twins, my car is RHD so I can't comment on whether it will work on a LHD car without modification. If you go to my thread on AFR graphs, you can see how she's running.
  23. Thanks for your input Ryan. Here is a bit more details on my set up. I'm running 320cc injectors, stock turbo cam and twin turbos (old school units that came with the HKS twin turbo manifold I'm running). I am also running two innovate O2 sensor in each turbo down pipe, ie each turbo feeds of 3 cylinders. I am attaching my other graphs, what's interesting is to see the boost with regards to the lean spot you mentioned between 2,500 to 3,500. These are lazy turbos and they don't wake up until quite late. I think I could benefit from a better cam as power falls off at 5,000 revs, not sure if this is due to the nature of the turbos, or the cam, or a combination of the two. Looking at other peoples graph it does appear that the turbo cam runs out of revs around 5K. Anyway, appreciate all input.
