  1. I would love to have 245s on all 4 with 16 inchers. Possible? What offset?
  2. Dude thanks! That really helps. It's always good to see what others are talking about.
  3. So all I have to do is take off the Wheel and see if it's round or not? Is that the part the wheel bolts to in front of the rotor? The noob thanks you!
  4. Hey guys. I just ordered a break kit from silverminemotors.com and now need to know what style hubs I have. Its a 74 260 so I know it could have either 240 or 280 hubs on it. I need to know how to tell which one. What do I measure and what are the dimensions of those 2? Thanks for all your help.
  5. So I would really like to grab a 351W out of a 69-70 mustang. Would this be as easy to find and get to 350hp as the 302 or HO 5.0? And would the trans from the 5.0 work with this engine as well?
  6. Well, after reading that post I finally went out to give the reaction disk a look. It's still right there where it should be, looking nice and clean. Are there any other things I should look at? I really don't want to take it to a "professoinal" to have it looked at, so any ideas would be graciously accepted. Thanks.
  7. Yeah, it's a '74 260 with stock system. Thanks for the info, I'll get to reading.
  8. My pedal goes all the way to the floor with very little resistance, and doesn't begine slowing the car until it gets there. I checked for leaks and couldn't find any (doesn't mean there any there). I changed brake pads, and bled the system with no improvement. After bleeding the brakes, I noticed some kind of "air" noise coming from the front resevoir on the master cylinder, while my friend pumped the brakes. While she pumped the brakes, the fluid level dropped in that resevoir with each pump and she reported a much better feel in the pedal. Once I had her stop, all the fluid that been drawn into the lines came back up into the resevoir. Then of course, the brakes went right back to the floor. I searched for similar problems on here and the 2 I found suggested it may be a faulty master cylinder. So I ordered one from silverminemotors.com. Got here 2 days later and I put it in, hopes high this would fix the issue. No difference at all. I'm stuck as to what it could be. If any of you have a clue, please fill me in. Thanks for your time, its much apprecieated.
  9. Though I haven't been married for nearly as long (only 6yrs), I know what you mean about being unhappily married. It got to the point that my wife moved out, we had the custody of our son (4yrs old) all figured out and only had to send in the papers to be final. I thought she was basically evil and out to piss me off just for the fun of it. After we had some time apart, and I had some time to meditate about our relationship, I realized that a lot of the problem was me. I could see what I did, or better yet, didn't do to let it get to that point. I realized I still loved her and knew what we could do to make it work. We are SO much happier and get along so much better now. You can't change her, but you can sure change the way you act and react with her. Now I got lucky and my wife agrees that if I can pay cash for a bran new Ducati, I can get it. I guess I better learn how to ride huh! Good luck bro.
  10. So I had this idea last night. I have some fog lights that I'm not using and would like to put them in in place of the reverse lights. Looking at both of them, they have 2 wires going in, which I assume is the power and the ground. If I just connect the wires from the lights to the wires in the car, that should work right? Could it really be that simple? Thanks for any help. gb20
  11. We've all had days where nothing goes right and the s&!t slide just keeps coming. That was my day yesterday. Lost my license at the Rio, didn't get to sleep, dmv told me I have to pay $400 before I can replace my license because my check didn't clear for registration a year ago (which they never contacted me about and let me register my car anyway), and my drivers seat fell through the left rear mounting point. This is where I normally call it a day and watch a few movies. Instead I get a wild hair and decide to put the blinker switch from my 280 into the 260. I just had to change the connectors but for me that's a big deal (I'm still very new to doing these vehicular things on my own). Well, it worked perfectly. Not only do I have blinkers but my brights work as well. Then I swapped out the drivers seat and bolted in an alluminum support for the rear mounting point. I must say, I feel better.
  12. It's quite nice now, but give it a few months till it climbs up to 115*. Not the best weather to drive a car with no a.c.
  13. Well, it's only 10am here, and it's already bright and sunny at 60*.
  14. The only game that really matters, and they can't bring their A game? I was rooting for them as they are my wifes favorite team, but I'm very happy that Strahan got his ring. It was the best Superbowl I can remember watching. :mparty:Congrats Giants! P.S. Did anyone actually see Coughlin (sp?) smile, even after winning last night?

    Hunsaker seats

Yeah, storage on the back would be nice, and this is hybridz, so, where there's a will, there's a way. I should be ordering them in about a week or so and will post some pics as soon as I get 'em.
  16. I saw this and thought it may come in handy for some of you. Hope you like it. http://rollerhoop.com/ gb20

    Hunsaker seats

The price is hard to beat for a pair of new seats. And the width is only 1in more than most. I think I may get some and hope for the best. Now if my tax return would just get here I could do some shopping.

    Hunsaker seats

It seems as though seats are a popular topic so how 'bout these? http://www.hunsakersports.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=228 I saw these in a mustang mag and they look quite comfy with provisions for a 4-5 point harness. The main ? like most is, will they fit?
  19. I just found a mustang forum so I'll be doing a lot of reading in the next few days. Thanks guys. gb20
  20. Thanks for the help dudes. I think I'm going to stick with the 351w engine so I can eventually get it bored out when I just have to have more power, but I will definately do more research on the transmition. Blueoval, Are you still going to be able to use the t5 after you install the new engine?
  21. Thanks a lot for the info, I'll have to look into the 302 and the t5. Do you have a certain year you would recomend for both engines? gb20
  22. Hey guys. I'm trying to get my thoughts organized on the conversion I want to do but have a few ?'s. I know I want to go with a 351w engine and a Tremec tko 500 transmition. I will be good with carbed for now, eventually upgrading to fuel injection, and wanting 350- 400 horses. What year engine would you fellas recomend, and is there anything special I need to do to get the trans to bolt up to the engine? Oh, one more thing, I would like to find these 2 things in a salvage/ junk yard to save some money. Should I be able to trust that parts from there will work properly? Thanks for your time. gb20
  23. How could they not do one with the golf club. Who hasn't ever wanted to tee of on someones mellon.
  24. I know this is way off topic but, I really want one of those Mustangs.
