  1. I haven't really said anything but I love this swap! Please don't keep it all to yourself! PS Someone I know is running one of your RB pans. It looks awesome!
  2. Cannonball89, it looks nice but why run the cold pipe behind the radiator? It works better if you have the drivers side be the cold pipe so that it is only an S bend to the throttle body.
  3. Certain year 240sx TPS had 2 plugs. One built into the body (like the original) and one on the pigtail. The one part of the plastic body is a switch, and wires up just like stock. The one on the pigtail is variable (it is a potentiometer) and is useful for aftermarket EFI installs.
  4. Hook up the LED to the LC-1 and see if it outputs an error code, otherwise invest in a serial-USB converter so you can run LM programmer.
  5. Nowadays the chinese ebay ones not only fit better but perform better than the old NPRs.
  6. http://www.headgasket.com/index.html Those guys hover right around $100 for a copper gasket.
  7. How do you plan on running fuel only on an L28ET? If you're starting with a factory L28ET it should have all the bits to make it fuel AND spark.
  8. I could definitely cut a copper one based on a pattern or stock gasket. I thought the MLS ones had grooves and such to seal between layers. If that's not the case I can definitly look into cutting one (or some) at work to try out.
  9. Have you called cometic? I did almost 2 months ago and it was over $3000 on the "tooling and setup" and over $300 a gasket after that. Go on ebay, buy the Kamenari one with ARP head bolts with the Make Offer button for a really good deal.
  10. Wow that builders kit looks like you could almost do 2 cars with it!
  11. Can't you just countersink or counterbore the bolt holes that go to the bellhousing? Then it would sit nice and flush.
  12. Find a local fabrication shop. This is something my work could do but we're on the other end of the states!
  13. If the hydraulics are good you probably munched the center section of the disk. This is something I keep doing in me SR20DET Sentra.
  14. My friend used semi-gloss from duplicolor. I think it was enamel. That came out looking really nice and even for the most part.
  15. The TPS on the turbo cars is only used at idle. 2 pins have continuity and that's it. Cruise is closed loop, anything above like 3.5k or so is open loop. I'm thinking bad wiring or bad CHTS. Check the TPS pins for continuity at idle (only) and then check the harness itself. Or go megasquirt
  16. Stupid snowcopalypse... We went from 70+* F to 40* high today... I am NOT used to this cold weather anymore... (don't miss that about Chicago) We should be back to >70* just in time for the weekend though
  17. Check the timing, check the wires for continuity from the sensor to the ECU.
  18. I suspect they did it wrong then. Is this a new thing? I was under impression that MS only had 1 power connection, unless they have added it to the new boards. Settings are stored in NVRAM so it doesn't need constant power like a stock ECU.
  19. If it goes "offline" while cranking you probably wired it to a 12v source that is not "on" when the car is cranking. Try a different 12v wire. I usually use one off the ignition switch.
  20. It's got a pink sticker one on it now, which I heard was interchangeable. It might be something to check. I got the Consult hooked up and it I cleared the codes. It hasn't triggered any since then but the MAF is putting out about 2.5v on idle which I think might be an issue. My Sentra idles around 1v MAF voltage so I'm thinking big vacuum leak or wrong/bad MAF.
  21. I'm helping him with this Z, and this is what I've found so far: Is the shielding really necessary if the wiring isn't ran close to the CAS? The initial problem ended up being the ground pin did not have continuity to ground (and it also had an RB20 auto ECU). It now runs with the MAF plugged in. It still runs incredibly rich which I think is a bad temp sensor (or bad connection) and the fact that it is using the stock 240z fuel lines (the return is too small).
  22. Did you spray or roll on? How's the orange peal? What ratios did you use?
