  1. I'm having this issue with Megasquirt on a car. I just tuned around it. I've considered reprogramming the output on my LM-1 to get the 2 to match up. I don't know if your gauge has programmable outputs though. One thing to try is to ground the gauge and it's output ground on the same place as your EFI ground.
  2. I don't understand. I thought AZ roads were crappy then I went to Cali (for JCCS, where those pics were taken) and their roads are even worse! I wouldn't run tires like that on $2500 wheels but hey, if you've got the money to burn have at it.
  3. On a car we forgot to add an engine to chassis ground and when cranking the starter the braided oil line to the turbo arc'd out on the firewall! Needless to say the teflon inside it melted =( Lots of things started working when we added the ground...
  4. ARGH MUST GET Z GOING. JCCS was AMAZING!

  5. What's your elevation? Are you running barometric corrections? If you're running 13-14:1 AFR at full throttle you're way too lean. Your AFR map seem a little on the lean side as well. In boost on a street car I tune for Low to mid 11s under full boost. Atmospheric Baro is about 75kPa here, and I'm usually in the mid to low 12s (AFR) then.
  6. I've used volvo injector connectors for the last 3 Megasquirts. They're easily found and cheap at the u-pull-it. There's even a used volvo parts store here in town that sells them for $2 each. Also, MSD sells the updated Bosch ones in a do-it-yourself kit for $24 for 8 connectors. They don't come with the nice boots that the volvo ones come with though... PS I've bought the ones from Forrest when I did my first Megasquirt years ago!
  7. Parking lights and dash lights share the same circuit. You probably have a short in the dash lights harness.
  8. I think the real cool ones are the plastic extruders as there are many now for under $1k, which is almost affordable
  9. I saw one of these in high school 7 years ago print out a working bearing...
  10. FWD motors are different then the RWD ones. For one the RWD transmissions won't bolt up to FWD motors, and if you adapted one the intake faces the wrong way.
  11. This is in a ZX right? I think is (or was) a member.
  12. It's $30 from the u-pull-it here which I think means I'm out of the running lol.
  13. Can you return the pertronix kit? There might be some electronic dizzy's for 4 cyl datsuns at a yard local to me...
  14. You'll find any and all information by SEARCHING the forums. There's even a Nissan 4 cyl subforum...
  15. Me too! It would look awesome on my dad's G-nose 240z
  16. Honestly if you have the ZX harness intact it is very straight forward. I wouldn't even mess with the stock EFI though, if you have the time (and money) invest in a Megasquirt or the like. I think it's easier then a stock retrofit, and much more upgrade friendly.
  17. You can buy the sleaves at McMaster-Carr, the part number is given in one of thte OBX diff threads.
  18. Check the TPS and check the resistance in the AFM for dead spots.
  19. What are you looking to spend?
  20. I miss read, I thought you said GS not SC. GS's have front sump =(
  21. Does it have to be a 240z? I've got a driving project for cheap, and there's a few running cars on CraigsList in Tucson for under $2500
  22. Make sure you leave a loop at both the relays and megasquirt so that water can't crawl up the harness. Just a little thing like this -._.- in the harness before the box is ok. My friend learned this the hard way when his car wouldn't run and would curropy the firmware every time it rained.
  23. We missed out on a 78 with a Maxima N47 and ZX 5 speed because we figured it would be there next week. Come back and it's crushed, but in it's place was what looked to be a fairly well maintained GS300 with a really clean 2JZ...
  24. How did you know the mileage? I just got one out of the u-pull-it for $150 from a very clean car that seems like it had trans issues (rebuilt trans and torque converter on it), but didn't know how to check the mileage. What are you doing for an oil pan?
  25. I'd love to help but I'm in Tucson... My roommate and fellow Z guy has been wanting to head up there so maybe we could swing by one weekend.
