The Z is finished!! (56K beware!)

After a year of blood, sweat, tears, massive expenditure, and all around frustration the "ZR20" is finished! (well, almost...)

I'd like to thank in no particular order the following people for helping make the car what it has become:

John Coffey for his advice, fabrication, and all around goodguy-ness...betamotorsports.com for fabrication! Needless to say this car would not even be close to finished without his help.

Ian Sweeney for his support, shop access, advice, tools and parts...fusion-racing.com for all your parts! Without Ian's help there is also no chance that I would have finished this project at all.

Wayne @ Phase 2 Motortrend - best SR20/240SX specialist by far, and an overall nice guy. Always makes me feel comfortable when a vendor tells me that a) I am stupid, and B) I shouldn't buy that part ;)

Mani Jayasinghe for continued advice and help throughout the project.

Dave @ Arizona Z Car for his support and help months after buying his parts.

Perry @ Weddle Autobody in Whittier, CA for doing tons of stuff to the car without hesitation or even invoicing me! Best bodyshop around!

Erik Messley for constantly suggesting something new that put my project back a few months and hopefully setting up the suspension this coming week!

Without further ado, here are the pictures:

Excellent job Amir, that is 1 tuff street fighter, I dare anyone to take you on.

You gota let me know the weight & how the balance of the car is as I've been building my SRZ since '99 but still along way to go.

Thanks Nix, I've had my eye on your car for a while actually, very impressive so far!

Unfortunately the car is about as street friendly as Greyhound bus is track friendly - this is a strict track car only! I'll find out the weight and corner balance stuff this week when it goes into EMI Racing for alignment and general suspension setup.

The car is putting down 328rwhp/267rwtq at only 11psi and with 700cc injectors, a giant fuelpump, and a tuned standalone there is plenty of room to increase boost if necessary...timing is also EXTREMELY conservative right now. At 328rwhp though this thing feels like it wants to take off and seems to pull forever...I love it!

Great Job!

This only reinforces my feeling that if I ever decide to replace my L-series with something else, the SR is the way that I would go.

Parts readily available, lightweight, excellent power potential, if you go to forged internals you only have to buy FOUR of them, AND LOOK AT ALL THAT ROOM... :D
