Mikelly
So this will be brief, since I'm hunt-N-peckin' with my left hand... Crashed dirtbike last night, and went to ER today for Xray... Small wrist bone in right wrist went snappy and I bruised my sternum... I'm officially in Lurk mode, and don't know the extent of recovery until Friday's visit with ortho-specialist... jeromio
You're supposed to land on your head - that's what the helmet is for.
veritech-z
Look on the bright side: better a hand than an ankle! I broke my ankle in three places once skateboarding, and not only do you have the pain of the break, you also lose the use of your hands for anything other than using the crutches. Hope you get better soon!

Guest 280ZForce
oh man, sorry to hear that...good luck on the recovery, hopefully nothing too serious. keep us posted on your down time. but none of u got anything on my 1st and only broken bone in my life which happened 7 months ago today and i'm still healing and gonna be about another year before it's back to fully normal. I broke my upper right arm (humerous for Dr. terms) more than 5+ seperate times on 1 incident! Which in conclusion left my bone is 3 seperate pieces. Left my right arm completely paralyzed for about 2 months except wiggling my fingers. Talk about pain...i couldnt do anything at all that caused motion in that arm. I was poppin' 1,000 mg vicadin and 600 mg tylenol or something for pain every so many hours and it didnt help for sh*t. click to make bigger... johnc
Don't be putting your hands out when you fall off the bike. Do like I do and lead with your head and shoulder. I don't know how many times I've broken my collar bone. Hope you're back in full abidexterous mode soon.
Two40MuscleZ
Michael! When we get older; we're suppose to "RIDE" other things! LOL Sorry to hear about your mishap. Hopefully, you won't be detained for too long a period. Knowing you though, you'll be back up in the game in short order. Take (better) care and talk with ya soon. Let me know if ya need anything...almost anything!!! VAN

JMortensen
Do you have a cast? If so, just you wait. You'll be looking like you want to be "ridden" when they take that thing off. I've never done so much physical therapy as when I had my cast taken off. Limpwristed was an understatement...
Mikelly
Jonh, The wrist got caught in the "bark buster" grip guard as I was coming off it... I rolled and my wrist got twisted. I'll let you guys know the prognosis after the appointment tomorrow. Mike
Bartman
Mike, Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Do you have a navicular fracture? I've had one in the past, and I spent four months in a cast. They let the fingers stick out, but the thumb was encased as well as most of the forearm until just below the elbow.
pparaska
Mike, that really sucks. Time to get rid of the dirt bike too! BTW, Mike HAS landed on his head before - several times usually mountain biking- which explains why he's such a nut case!!! It's a catch 22. Mike, let me know if you need help with anything (except, well you know). I'm not that far and I know the way.
