phil280zxt
I owned an 80 280zx back in 82-84. Sold it when the family started arriving. Got the Z bug again in 2001 and bought my current 81 280zxt. Same silver over blue color as my first, but this one has t-tops and its a turbo!! I've slowly modified her from auto to 5-speed swap the first year to an intercooler last summer. Now I need to address the rust issues.
cpt jack
I use generic coils the are in the 300 range and stiff as hell! On the 40 tires and no rubber in the front strut assembly to be found all i can say from a little test ride .. it is blood pissing stiff! Given the struts are on their heaviest setting, also i use msa sway bars and adjustable end links ( one poly rubber in there) do you happen to have a site mate to where you got them? easy install? roger280zx
Nothing special, just a wrecked 1983 black, t-top, non turbo with "cold air intake" 60mm tb, and a muffler shop special 2.5" cat back with a leaky head gasket. Oh and about 100lbs taken out of her... that helps.

bschiltz
is the 305 a smaller v-8? and well anyways do u like the motor? i been thinkin of goin with a 350... smaller displacement but the same external dimensions as a 350. I haven't got to drive the car too much, but it seems to have a fair amount of bottom end torque.
SoCal-s130
And unfortunately now... Except now it has a straight black fender and light bucket. Hopefully will look how it did soon.

SoCal-s130
What suspension is your car sitting on, KTM?
Sean 83ZXT
KTM-EXC - Is that just a BRE spoiler for the 240Z installed on a 280ZX or is it modified somehow?
KTM-EXC
Im just running tockicko springs/dampers, I think its only a 1" drop and yes thats a regular 240z BRE spoiler, its a direct bolt on
SoCal-s130
Dang mine was only a 1" inch drop but yours looks way lower =/
award280
I've had my '83 for a little ove ten years now. T-top, 5 spd, NA coupe. I finally started really tearing into it at 274k miles. As she sits now: Flat top pistons with N42 head. Balanced internals, ARP Studs and Rod bolts. Z31 ECU with Nistune. (Still wiring) Much more stuff, but I'm too lazy at the moment. mikeatrpi
I think I'm in love KTM! Very tastefully done! I like the blacked out lighting and the drop- just makes the dark colored car look even more sleek. What are the window stickers? I'd buy a hybrid z sticker if it wasn't 2 square feet in size!
