260DET
It looks like the S130 body is made in both left and right hand drive versions, mine is RHD of course and around the firewall area it is not symetrical so making a LHD conversion difficult. m1ghtymaxXx
Looks pretty straight forward to me!
mrpratt
I actually have a RHD 75 Fairlady, and I can't find the parts I need for anything. Good luck trying to source enough to actually do a conversion, you'd be better off just waiting until you found one. I know of an 80 (i think) RHD thats for sale, in pristine condition. 10k! naviathan
I have a 79 RHD Fairlady. It's rough, but seems to be complete. I don't think I could part with it though. I intend on fixing it up for the wife.

ArnZ
There alot of small things that people don't think about that will need to be done. Windshield wipers and cowl, AC /Heater fan motor, (spins different direction) Battery tray, ect. Lots of work & $$$ trying to find all those parts. Challenger
Why? Ive seen alot of people wanting this but whats the reason?
m1ghtymaxXx
Why? Ive seen alot of people wanting this but whats the reason? x2. Why not just import. Here in canada, its usually cheaper to have cars imported from japan. Not sure what the american laws are regarding importing cars, but here anything older than 15 years is legal, so the roads are flooded with rhd skylines, silvias, 180sxs, rx7s, 300zxs, gtos, soarers and aristos. MkIV Supras will be legal shortly too!
Challenger
I meant why do you want rhd. If I wanted a RHD Id import.
aziza z
I meant why do you want rhd. If I wanted a RHD Id import. To be unique. Personally i wouldn't do it. but its cool to see different things being done.

Forcer
I have a few reasons why I want it. 1. I actually like RHD, and think it would be cool to have a car that way. 2. Any RHD around my area is a Honda, (not a big fan of Honda). 3. Noone around here would expect to see an RHD Z, much less an older model. vrocious
Looks pretty straight forward to me! that is absoltely awesome! i'm with everyone else though by the time you get everything done it would prob work out cheaper to get one imported
nbesheer
well what if you found an old fairlady and swaped out the dash and stuff into the new car (obviously this would only be practical if the fairlady was in poor condition) would that work since your starting off with everything ? BleachZee
I have seen RHD S130 cars for sale before. All of them were 2+2 models.

abes
There was one up on ebay about a week ago that never sold right out of Pensacola, Florida. The car had a some work done to it ('79 zx turbo from Japan ) and supposedly had 30k miles on it. He said he was the second owner. If you are interested, I still have the guys email add. from some questions I had asked him I thought of doing the conversion, but only to have something different. When I actually sat there and looked at all the work, it just wasn't worth it. The fire wall area on the engine bay is completely different on the left side than on the right. It's not just moving things around and changing the dash out, There is no pre made markings or pre made holes on the right side. It's probably easier to find one already rhd and just build that than actually doing the conversion.
