Cal Poly Zmanaustin
Silver is by far the most popular color. The other original colors like the greens, yellow and blue if not faded and oxidized are great too. So many people hate the old colors because the cars are beat up and the paint badly faded. When I first saw some restorations in the original colors I didn't even recognize the colors because they looked so different than the faded out and oxidized ones driving around you typically see. They looked incredible.
CArFAn
Arctic White or Alpine White my top 2.
cygnusx1
Silver looks best in the rain or at dusk. As far as most desireable...That's a tough question that might be better answered by a poll at Z collector forum.
m4xwellmurd3r
it might not be desierable, but i like the color of my Z 517 beige metalic (not mine, taken from the site listed previously)
Guest jetblack
that is definitely a "only the owner can love it" color. Might work for your purposes, selling to the older crowd; but as a younger enthusiast, I am thinking only-how much will it cost me to paint that thing? jbk240z
If a Z is in great shape and rust free, it could be baby sh*t green or hot pink for all I care. LOL!!
mark
The best colors ore the ones with out primer spots (any color primer) Mine is currently grey and black primer and no brown polkadots from rust spots or holes.
Strokin77
I always liked burnt orange on a z, few years back I painted my 280 with LeMans Sunset the burnt orange on the 350z. Now I have a silver z and I like it as well. Its hard to say what is more desirable.
TrumpetRhapsody
Personally I'm thinking midnight or spectra blue, with a candy twist. Probably too modern for the "collector" crowd though. I'd go classic orange if trying for a flip.

srgunz
If you want an origional color and the best value, I would go with the origional dark green the car came from the factory with. It is my favorite color of the origionals. And 240's this color are rare. Because of that fact I guess you could say its not a popular color. But its the correct color. For a restoration project/stock 240-Z, I prefer the British Racing Green with Tan interior, that combo on a restored to the period sports car is quite soothing to the eye.
