Titus_RacerX
Too young. But, then I'm sure that the stress from all the missed deadlines, last minute f-ups and dorks that worked for him had a little to do with it. Actual cause of death unreported. Mike kZ
Ah man that is sad! I loved his work, and American Hot Rod.
RedEvilrps13
while ive always preferred foose's stuff, boyd is a LEGEND in his own right, and will be missed....RIP.
johnc
He's been in the hospital since November with intestinal cancer and has been on life support recently. He did a lot for Hot Rodding and was an important part of the local community.

Evan Purple240zt
Thats tragic... At least that man will be remembered through all of his creations. R.I.P.
slownrusty
Wow...shocked! I had Boyd Coddington make me a set of 1 off custom wheels for my Datsun Truck in the '90s when 18s were unheard of on a Datsun, let alone a Datsun truck! He even sent me a letter and personally signed it. Yasin

dr_hunt
He has lost alot of weight over the past few years, I was wondering if the weight was contributing to health problems.
Datsun260Z
Very sad. My best to his friends and family. I liked the show, moreso that a show about car building was on the air. He and Duane's spats I could always live without. Regardless, Boyd paved the way for many many people including Foose and James. Not to mention the countless other auto resto shows out there now. Boyd Coddington and his creations might very well go down as a part of American history and pop culture. His life will forever ride on with every one of his creations out there today. An honorable way to be remembered IMHO, God bless you Boyd - now get to work, Jesus needs a hotrod! RIP t
Mikelly
Yup, and for all the drama his show may or may not have had, I for one enjoyed watching his guys fabricate and make stuff. I don't care about the end product. What they did with that show was motivate a ton of hotrod guys like you and me to get our butts out in the garage and make stuff... Now get out in the garage... God Bless Boyd Coddington! Mike
jbk240z
A legend is gone, very sad indeed! I feel for his family.
savageskaterkid
damn, I was hoping this was another one of Aux's regular threads where it would lead to some dumb video, but the truth shocked me. RIP Boyd Coddington
