kiwi303
sounds odd... why only black? cali being cali I would have expected them to ban ALL cars?
AK-Z
seems as outrageous as PETA's attempt to rename a fish "sea kittens"

PanzerAce
Psh, that'd be easy to get struck down in court: It's a violation of 1st amendment rights. (And if someone had deep pockets to pursue it, I'm sure that a similar argument could be used to get rid of most of the CARB restrictions on engine modifications). Tony D
"Black Is Beautiful" I guess Huey will have to change the name to the "Pink Panthers" in order to comply... Doesn't have the same connotations, does it? Bummer...
kiwi303
next up they'll probably try to ban Blacks...
Montezuma
CARB is a board of TOTAL IDIOTS! Next black interiors, then they will ban leather, black steering wheels, black tires, blacktop, black convertible tops, etc....end does it end with these enviromental wackos. The worst part about these CARB morons is that they are not elected but they have so much power. Are we really living in a free country? m4xwellmurd3r
well at least instead of banning black cars their trying to get something USEFUL passed. but at the same time, won't more reflective windows ALSO mean more blinding other drivers? The Woj
In the meantime, the state is moving forward with a proposal to require automotive glass to reflect more of the sun's heating rays. Young said the initial target is 30 percent, and ultimately, 40 percent more reflectivity. He said it can be done without changing the appearance of the windows. It seems they are going to increase reflectivity towards non-visible light.
m4xwellmurd3r
It seems they are going to increase reflectivity towards non-visible light. so the infra-red and ultra-violet spectrums? if so, that would be pretty awesome. it'll help a LOT out here in arizona where the inside of a car easily could cook pie lmao
