  1. You mean the 240z bumper? you would only need the 240z bumper mounts to make it fit, if I recall recorrectly.
  2. Aren't most of the plane parts that would of been cased, CNC nowadays? Less inclusion and flaws in CNC. Well I say go for it, gotta try everything at least once.
  3. the 260-280z equivilant to teh 240z lower turn signal are the one in the grille. If you run a 240z grille and remove those turn signals, then I'm sure you will be fine. you still have the side blinkers.
  4. pretty much anything from the 240z, 260z, and 280z, (not 280zx) are interchangable with some minor adjustments. The 240z bumpers would need the 240z bumper brackets to work, or you can just make some. The turn signals would need a lower valance or a air damn for the 240z. The turn signals are going to cost $$ though.
  5. I don't know how many times I get asked that. Its a CG rendering (not real). Mines far faraway from looking something like that. Check out the link in my sig to watch a video of a rendered one.
  6. You should check this. Read on the amount of hydrogen they can store using there method. Hydrides. http://www.switch2hydrogen.com/h2.htm
  7. Rust Zero. When you paint the car.
  8. the stock clock will drain the battery if you leave it sitting for 4 months. Could also be that the battery doesn't want to hold a charge. From you saying that after running and then turing off and then turning on again, tells me that the alternator is giving thebattery some juice.
  9. Ususally the engien won't start is it doesn't have a good signal from the AFM, or TPS. try cleaning those and the ecu connector and see what happens. I don' think its a bad ecu.
  10. Are they for bolts or screws? If so then they isn't much you can, because the threads on the bolts are going to take off what ever you put on anyways.
  11. Don't really know because I haven't done it before, but I would think that using epoxy and roughing the metal would make it bond better. I used epoxy on the crank shaft of my go-cart when I was in junior high when the key groove on the shaft broke on one side. Still have the motor and same epoxy. Slightly discolored but still on there tight.
  12. Haha. thats where I got my service manuals for my KA. I found that sight before I found this site. Thats where I first heard of stony and first time I've seen a S30 with a RB motor (long time ago). I would of like to say that that would of been the first thing that I would of checked, but honestly I would of check that last. Thinking about it, if you checked that first in any engine problem, you would isolate about 1/3 of your electrical problems.
  13. When I was helping rebuild my dad's chevy K20. We went to the glass shop to get replacement door windows and stripping. They said to try to "pack as much" of the window seals possible. I first noticed these thing when I was watching "Horse Power TV. " They mentioned it also. I don't how much it will shrink on a "loop" piece without the trim but on one of the 280Zs I have , it has a crappy paint job and you can see how much it shrunk from when it had its last paint job. And on my jeep (93, bought new) the upper front door window seal has shunk also, there is a 1 1/2 inche gap now .
  14. Not a car I would choose to put all that effort on just to sell. Maybe if it original came with a S20 engine, but then I would have to ship it to Japan, because the car would go for a higher Yen there. And I wouldn't put it up for sale on EBAY anyways.
  15. What do you mean by "manual brake." Are you talking about somthing like a hand brake? Where a level pulls a cable causing the brake to engage? Then no, Well half no haha. Not that I know of. For what reason would you want manual brakes?
  16. It would if you put stress on it when mounting (making it fit). Its shouldn't be bended to fit. IMO I don't think it matters, but saying some extra weight is always a plus.
  17. Looks so freakin clean compared to my 280z. Just surface rust (alot though, but easy to clean). Mine looks like its been eatin through by the rust monster. Soon to be remedied.
  18. the center one on the ECU connector? That should be the ground connection to the ECU. See if cleaning it will make it work with the bolt screwed in. I don't think you want to drive around with a ecu connector too loose.
  19. Does that include the Hydroride things that were mentiond in the other thread about converting to hydrogen? I thought the volume that it could hold would more than what a tank the same capacity could hold in in it gas form under max capable presure.
  20. Haha, then nature took a little too much out of my Z
  21. The weather stipping shrinks with time, the trim helps to keep the corners straight. On my 93 jeep, it has the same thing but the trim is flat black, it came like that new. Its on there for the same reason.
  22. Hasn't sold yet (doubt it ever will at that price). So no rebuilt almost stock 280z is worth 35k. I hope its is a typo because that jusr ridiculous. And with grand nationals, it the production numbers. I think they only made like 200 in production.
