  1. I haven't even started yet. All I have are are some drawing and no scanner. And I now there are clearence issues and other thing that determind how it will turn out, might look totally different when I'm done (might not been be able to build a set, I'm just attemping to make one). I can't work on them untill I can get my hands on a set of Yamaha R6 (2003) headlights. Depending on how much of an angle I'm going to have them mounted will dictate the angle of the broad angle of the front.
  2. Funny thing is, I've seen a vid some where, where they did the same thing, I believe it was an eclipse and gained like 15 hp on the dyno.
  3. Well the first gen Z were designed after the jaguar e-type and the porsche 911. Even though the general shape is much like the jag and the porsche the broad front make alot of resistence and having such a large area for air flow for the radiator to go through doesn't help either. Now looking at the profile you can see that the broadest area (without the bumper) is sloped downward and at 120 m/h+ that can make a big difference.

    S2000 Swap

Found an adjustable speedo sender. Its descibed as "universal" but you know with these thing, that could mean anything. here http://www.prostreetonline.com/buy/programmable_electric_speedo_senders/5291/
  5. to get to 200 hp with the original engine. you are have to go stroker or force induction. The easiest way I see is to turbo charge it, but that will intail setting up a EFI system. With a stroker, you would have to rebuild the engine with stroker parts and bore the cylindars to get 3.0-3.2ish litres. With a engine swap you can reach well beyond 200 hp and have a lot of variety to choose from. People have even put Nissan truck engines in theirs. Finding a good oportunity is key though i.e. finding a totaled car going to the scrap yard.
  6. Its a eruro model? I don't know then. If it did, it would be the thing that have a small pipe thats connected to the exhaust manifold to the injake manifold (l28 setup), might be connected to the carbs some how.
  7. Ooooo. Shiney. I want to smudge it up with my finger prints. lol. great work.
  8. remove the EGR valve. the 260z are natorious for poor power because of emmissions equipment.
  9. I have a 77 offset mount. Don't have a 80 zx mount though.

    S2000 Swap

Would deffinitely be a first. I like it. I would like to adapt a s2k dash in my 280z. I've read that the dash will drop in almost any honda with a little bit of wiring.
  11. I run a 9 volt battery, lol. J/K
  12. huh. did not now that. Not really a domestic engine type of guy.
  13. I guess its the same with gas when they switched to unleaded.
  14. If that were me, I think I would of tried to find a block with 4 bolt mains, But its not. Well I see both points but as always money is always a factor and sometimes these things happen (unfortunately).
  15. Thats some Hotness. I was thinking of use 2 sets of lights from a 80's cadillacs. What lights are those from?
  16. Depends on the TYPE of repair/body wok you are going to be doing. dents: dolly set slide hammer metal working hammer mallet rust repair: media blaster rustzero or pickelx can't think of anything else right now, I'm tired. Ill probably list more later.
  17. Huh. I have to try that sometime. Wooden plugs you say, good idea. Might have to use a slide hammer to get it out, I would imagine.
  18. AFM doesn't measure preasure it measures flow. AFM measures flow of air entering the engine, now putting the AFM between the turbo and the IC, it won't be able to get an acurate reading because of the difference between high->low presure (flow) between the turbo and IC compared to the High->low presure of outside atmosphere to low presure that the engine makes. With that setup, you are forcing air through the AFM, not pulling it through like with the normal setup.
  19. I beleive it was an indpentent film. Much like the original "Gone in 60 Seconds". JDM gone in 60 seconds, lol. Thats why its so short.
  20. I tried to look for something like that but with no luck. Closest thing I can get to a tinted clear was to mix some acrylic paints together. I had to put a little bit of red (eye droper amount) because when the black color was thinned out it looked kinda greenish. If you are going to try this, mix a sample amount and measure ratio amounts so you can mix another batch closest to it. Spray/ pour some of it on some white poster board so you can see what color needs to be added, should spray on must ligher than how it shows up on poster board.
