  1. The lower the voltage, the higher the Amp need, the 220V. unit will pay for itself in the long run trough less curent draw thus, lower electricity bill. Just take a look at what car companies are developing, 48V. systems, to be able to reduce the size of the wires because they'll have less Amps to handle. Cause with all the electronics in cars today, dragging around 500 milles of copper wire tends to make thing heavier than need be. My 0,02$.
  2. I really like the front air dam, if somebody could make one (just a little bit more symetrical) I'd buy it in a blink.
  3. I've seen this car before on this site, if I remember correctly, it's not a custom hood, the guy just grafted the vents in the original hood. It look nice for a piece done at home but, from what I can recall the guy had posted a front view of the car with the hood open and you can see that the vents themselfs were hand built cause they're not identical so, I don't think it would be good to pull a mold out of the original piece but, the IDEA is a good one to start as inspiration.
  4. Could I acheive my above idea but washing with a solvent like mineral siprits or something like that???
  5. WTH, you guys allready had your christmass pressents and it's still 12 days away, that's just unfare, I hate you all LOL.
  6. Just found a bit of info about soda blasting and it answered my ? above. I'll poste everything I find on the subject here so others can easily access it. http://www.ace-sandblasting.com/soda-blasting-article.html http://www.sodablast.ca/app/soda.php http://www.sodaworks.com/ http://www.pacificsodablast.com/ http://www.ace-sandblasting.com/soda-blasting.html http://www.sodablasting.com/ http://www.sodapro.com/auto_restore.html
  7. Another about soda blasting. Baking soda is water soluble is'nt it, so if I soda blast the car and then wash it down with water before I primer it, could THAT prevent me from having media coming out of everywhere for ever?
  8. Damn, for 2000$ I,ll drive down from Canada and do it for you, seriously, you could easily get away with 500-600$ less.

  11. Hey, David K, what is that place you took pictures of, an abandoned millitary base???:icon14: Yasin, do those Cellicas belong to someone you know? They're awesome, I wish I could find one as that's what my dad had when I was born and I owe my car passion to this car in particular.
  12. What is "reasonably priced" to you 500-2000$???????????
  13. Basicaly, you have to adjust them by hand once in a while cause, those automatic adjuster stop working about 15 feet from the dealer's door. The only system that really works is like the one on VWs, it's like a cam that turns a bit more each time you pull the e-brake lever and spreads the shoes a bit a time.
  14. Thanks again, the more I look at it, the more I think I'll go with chemical stripping, I tought about blasting cause I could get access to equipement and "SAND" for free but, now that I see the prices of more suitable medias and the many downfalls, I think it'll be less trouble scraping the paint of and sanding smooth what's left.
  15. How did they call this in "SPACEBALLS" LUDICROUSE SPEED? (don't know if I spelled it right.)
  16. Let's say I find all the open holes and patch 'em up before blasting, could it prevent me from having media comming out of every nook for the next 2 decades?
  17. For what that engine is, it's kinda affordable.
  18. I can't thank you enough guys. Keep the tips and suggestions commin'
