  1. I don't know whether to resent or be grateful that American politics and pop culture are popular outside of the country. On the one hand, it makes the US an easy target for everything everyone despises about the US but it also means we aren't bombarded with highlights of Canadian, UK or French politics on nightly TV. (Although I must say I wouldn't mind seeing footage again of Mohawk Indians running around Ontario or wherever it was on golfcarts toting AK-47s, now that was hilarious! Seconded only by jacka$$ French truckdrivers on strike turning their motorways into parking lots...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!)
  2. Do a search for "Wangan midnight", there are several threads, one of which is 4-5 pages long.
  3. Her contribution to mankind may come in the horizontal, not the vertical realm
  4. It's entertaining and standard UK TV...if Clarkson wasn't overly opinionated, no one would watch.
  5. Sounds like the stock EFI had more going for it than 30 years would have led you to believe. So is this car a candidate for your ITB system?
  6. That really surprises me since I first heard about that idiotic law in '91.
  7. Are radar detectors still illegal in VA?
  8. Montana State in Bozeman and Montana Tech in Butte...I recommend Bozeman.
  9. I went to George Mason Univ. for a year and couldn't stomach how much state and local gov't were in my pocket and on my a$$. I left and went back to Montana where speeding was a $5 energy conservation fine, tuition was less for out of state than it was for in-state in VA and just to be back in "The last best place" again.
  10. If you refuse to hang out at classiczcars.com you may have missed this but zsondabrain is reconditioning T/S switches and selling modified headlight and tail-light harnesses to 240 owners. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24304&highlight=turn+switch http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20151 http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20365 I've got all three and am very happy with what he's done. He's also toying with the idea of producing 240 engine harnesses...I've got my fingers crossed!
  11. Try offering this guy $3K, maybe he's desperate. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=27213
  12. For one reason, they don't live on ships for 3-6 months at a time. Don't get shot at nearly as much as the Army or the Marines for the same amount or, if you're a flyer, better money.
  13. I tell everyone I know who is thinking about joining the military to join the Air Force.
  14. Check EBay, there's usually a set of SUs that can be had for $100-$200 depending on their condition.

So where in Japan are you?
  16. Yep, it's a cartoon with just about everything that goes along with being a cartoon. I enjoy it because the car is a main character and the little fella seems to love it almost to death.
  17. Had my '73 since 2000, my third S30 since '86. Always a work in progress, the dream always being that it will be reliable, make 200hp with the SUs and not asphyxiate me after 30 minutes. (There are many reasons why that remains a dream)
  18. If you don't have any luck here try classiczcars.com Lots of Aussies frequent that site.
  19. I'm trying to get my new LSD into a used R200 and then into the car. Any recommendations on who could rebuild the half-shafts/R200 and maybe even put it in? How much is a reasonable fee for something like this? Anybody/place I should avoid?
  20. I've got to sink some money into a new mower and would want a real Deere if they made one. Any suggestions on who builds a better mower?
  21. Looks like it drive right out of Disney's CARS!
  22. Maybe a better question would be who has the fastest L-series, V-8 conversion and "other" Hybrid?
  23. It's plenty Hybrid...correct me if I'm wrong but the Jada toy 240Z has an SR20DET in it?
  24. A helluva lot cheaper than you can get one here for. I want to say I saw guys paying between $8-10K. While it didn't seem like most Japanese folks had a car that was more than 10 years old I was amazed by how many S13s there were around as well as R32s. While American muscle cars are expensive the S30s I saw weren't less than $10K for cars that had rust problems and wiring that looked like Phyllis Diller. A decent car with triples on the low end was $12K to $15-17K, the older the chassis, the higher the value.
