  1. There's a Z car club in Houston. They'd love to have you as a member. http://zclubofhouston.com/
  2. Head down to Roppongi to check out the clubs too! Of all things, you may want to stop at a book store to check out the latest copy of Japanese Nostalgic Car or Lightning Vintage Auto. Tamiya also makes a 1/12 model of a ZG/Rally Z that I've only seen in Japan, I picked up two for about 7800Y apiece, probably wouldn't be too hard to find in a model store.
  3. Greenville is really nice, it's a nice balance between a small town and a larger communities conveniences, they've got a decent airport etc. I think George Hincapie may be from there too, they have a big cycling race there every year if you're into that sort of thing.
  4. You'll probably love the property taxes too, lived in Northern VA for a year and couldn't stand it, they nickel and dimed you to death.
  5. "As least as possible" isn't a budget, do you have anything to spend? How reliable is the car to begin with? Is is a daily driver and/or track car? Money has everything to do with what you want to do, spending as little as possible leaves you little return.
  6. Wangan Midnight show in Engrish. http://www.gtchannel.com/content.php?cid=7398
  7. So what's the plan for the triples?
  8. I'm pretty sure the Spirit Garage video got pulled from Youtube.
  9. You might try their website to at least find which volume. The store at drift.com might have it, or you might try calling one of the kinokuniya stores on the West Coast...they might be able to get ahold of it. Last resort might be to use yahoo japan auctions to see if someone is selling a used copy. http://www.bestmotoring.jp/ I know v. 87 of Hot Version has the Star Garage S30.
  10. That thing is insane, the sound of the Hemi is just insane.
  11. Try here http://www.jaxed.com/cgi-bin/mash.cgi?cat=cp&itm=datsun+1970s&state=GA&fil=&ys=&ye=&submit=go
  12. I need guys like the two of you living down the street from me!
  13. Is this a Maaco special or a quality paint job? If you're going to drop alot of money on a well executed paint job, i would recommend going with the original color, it willl add a little to the value of the car.
  14. I'm on island until mid August, hoping to catch their tune and track day on the 2nd...I hope some of those Zs show up.
  15. I knew he preferred SUs and he's dialed mine in. I'm debating a set of ZTherapy SUs that I will ask John to bore out a little bit or spending the money on turbo stuff.
  16. I know John Williams likes SU setups, think he'd do an SU to turbo conversion for me? I'm looking to get to between 250-300hp.
  17. Do a search for "Wangan Midnight" on classiczcars.com, there may be some useful info there as to if any were built, how many and what their final disposition is/was.
  18. Looks like some of your local illegal alien population took their car to AutoZone.
  19. Maybe gas has people selling their hobby cars?
  20. I have three kids and the car is and will likely be a money pit so I really agonize over any dollar that goes into it. In the end, i've had one since '86 and can't imagine not having it now so it stays, it's even the model year and exterior color I always wanted.
  21. Nice ride, it's hard to believe what is lusted for in the States can be had for comparative change on the mainland or Okinawa. I spent 3 years at Kadena and 2-1/2 at Yokota, I'm looking forward to being TDY to Kadena this summer and hope to catch some kind of car event in July or August...just make sure it makes it on to ZY.
  22. MSA is selling a more modernized fusebox in their catalog and on EBay if your comfort level with your replacement box isn't that comfortable.
  23. So where did you get the pictures? Looks like a JCCA meet or something like that.
  24. If you see her again offer to watch a chick flick at home with her then throw in "Deathproof".
