  1. Atsugi's not too far away from Zama where the Nissan dream garage is. You might be able to engineer a visit with the metro Tokyo or Yokohama Z car club.
  2. Where in Japan, Yokosuka, Atsugi, Sasebo, Okinawa? I spent 3 yrs on Okinawa and 2-1/1 at Yokota. Nissan cancelled last years NISMOFest at Fuji Speedway but maybe they'll hold one this year. There should also be some kind of nostalgic car show near you at some point this year, especially if you're in Tokyo.
  3. Here's search results from classiczcars, maybe it will help. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/search.php?searchid=1532139
  4. Yahoo Japan maybe? Wish I had one myself.
  5. DatRat thanks for the info. I've got a P90/F54 i wanted John to go through but wanted whoever could be chased down from Sunbelt to do the head.
  6. Pics from the october Old School meet, I'm pretty sure that's the most Zs that have ever shown up. http://www.importatlanta.com/forums/car-pics/333237-10212012-old-school-meet-photos-warning-over-350mb-photos.html
  7. I'm down in Warner Bubba but have been to this once http://www.importatlanta.com/forums/events-meets-shows/332406-vintage-class-oldschool-car-meet-1990-older-sunday-nov-18-%401pm-dunwoody-7.html There were a couple of nice Zs there whom I'm pretty sure are members here. There's also a Georgia Z club that meets once a month somewhere in Atlanta.
  8. Depending on where you are in Atlanta one these guys might have a recommendation on who they use for their machine work. Both of them have been working on Zs for years, restorations, track car prep etc. John Williams in Sugar Hill (770-806-2926) Eddie Radatz of E. Radatz Motorsports in Kennesaw (770-926-6609)
  9. Been over to Attaway Tires to see Alex's LS7 240Z yet? I live in Bonaire, it's nice to know someone will have a Z specific shop closer than Atlanta.
  10. This may fix the rear end clunk. http://www.technoversions.com/DiffMountHome.html
  11. There are some pretty awesome videos on youtube if you do a search for "adam carolla datsun"
  12. I would have voted for the Wood Village S30 but that's just me. Maybe part of the appeal is the Wood Village S30 is well beyond most folks whereas the gonzo banzai S30 isn't?
  13. I have 15s with which I am happy but if I had it all to do over again I would get 16s, they fill up the wheel well a little better IMHO.
  14. I put ATF in mine, have heard folks talking about Marvel Mystery oil too.
  15. This and Targa Newfoundland look like a crapton of fun...good luck to all the Zed drivers.
  16. Went to Okinawa for the summer in '82 when I was 15 and the hot car to have was the S30. I remember coming back from Okuma we were on the Expressway when two Skylines that were racing went screaming by oppostie direction...a minute later a Fairlady Z police car went screaming by presumably to chase them down or pin them at the tollbooth. When I got a real job in 1986 I bought a 260 and I've had an S30 ever since.
  17. At the risk of putting you on some lesser travelled roads depending on time you may want to consider taking Highway 2 across Wa through Idaho and into MT. Take a day, drive over the Going to the Sun Highway in Glacier National Park then cut down to Great Falls then to US 89 through White Sulphur Springs down to the freeway, the scenery is gorgeous, even better than what you'll see on the freeway alone but these roads, while in good shape, don't have the volume of traffic that the freeway obviously does. For what it's worth too, I'd cut across SE Montana to Belle Fourche on I-90 then US 212, you get to see Devils Tower but it is a remote part of the country, I'd be surprised if they get cell service out there.
  18. Well, lets see, two round trips DC to MT, DC to Orlando, came over 4th of July pass in a snowstorm with no chains, can't recommend that to anyone...did US 11 from Lolo MT to Kooskia ID, 133 miles of curves along the route Lewis and Clark took, unbelievable scenery. I miss the days when everything I owned fit in the Datsun.
  19. Looks to be workable, no major frame damage. I'd be on medication if my Z was that nice and I got in an accident.
  20. John Williams, two doors down from Balanced Performance. Do a search for him here or on classiczcars.com
  21. I would try calling Wolf Creek, there are some more options than the website would lead you to believe.
  22. Depending on how involved you want to get AZC sells a combination bump steer spacer and shorter steering knuckle. I have a set waiting to go in my suspension when SPring Break rolls around.
