  1. Sent you a PM with an email address Ive used to contact him, maybe its different than the one you used, he's also on Facebook under Dave Irwin
  2. I know the former shop manager from Sunbelt in Atlanta who may be able to do the build or recommend a shop, PM me if you want his contact info.
  3. http://www.datsunstore.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=alternator&osCsid=f087a17b58eb4cc5a9cca650f19bbadd&x=7&y=6
  4. Looks like Oliver's collection of goodies
  5. It's been in about a month, F54/P90, Mikuni 44s, MSA ceramic coated header
  6. I would recommend replacing the foam with the vinyl if you recover your seats. In the grand scheme of things, it would probably be cheaper to go with a set of Miata or S2000 seats or whatever you could find locally. I decided I wanted original and got the foam to go with it, don't expect much lateral support compared to newer designs but it will look original and you will be in less pain after a long drive.
  7. They aren't that expensive if you call Isky and get it new. How much a you looking to spend?
  8. Chet Wittel tuned my Mikunis on Thursday and troubleshot some interesting problems. If you know him give him a call, if you don't, PM me and I'll put you in touch with him to see if he has some idea of what might help.
  9. When I was on Okinawa in '82 it was 250-260, went back in 97-00 and you were lucky if it was 110.
  10. Like the title says, I've got a P90 without the thermostat housing and am looking for one here and on zcar.com, reply or pm me if you've got one you're willing to part with.
  11. You might snoop around zeroyon.com too. it's a forum for Americans living in Okinawa, some of the have imported cars back and forth between Japan and the US.
  12. Check out Georgia Datsun Owners and GA Z car club on Facebook, there may be something there.
  13. Great guy who really took care of me and my Z. John shared his passion and made a business and a living out of it, he will be sorely missed.
  14. I paid Wolf Creek $2500 for a set of prepared 44PHH triples, the manifold and extra jets. I could tune a set of SUs but I'm paying someone who knows what they're doing to dyno tune the triples. Even if you get a great deal, tuning them can be difficult if you don't know what you're doing. I also recommend going with 44s or 45s, more means more options.
  15. I've always wondered what you do with 9 months of winter in Scandinavia and now I know...body work. I need to get off my butt and learn to do what you can do.
  16. A very reputable Atlanta Z builder uses Not on Main Street Garage. I think one of the guys who used to do head work for Sunbelt works there, it's in the same compound that Sunbelt was at. 770-932-9311 Eiji may be your best bet from a practical standpoint.
  17. Other than drilling into the back hatch to mount the spoiler and re-upholstering the seats they really didn't do anything that couldn't be reversed. It was nice to see a show dedicated to doing something somewhat tasteful to an early Z.
  18. Knowing only enough to be dangerous I would go with 45s, better to tune down too much carb than be wanting more.
  19. Is Tom Diepenbrock still in the club? I miss being in OKC, I was at the first meeting with Tom and Russ Feist back in the mid 90s, it's been amazing how the club has grown.
  20. I spent two weeks around Queenstown tramping the Milford and Routeburn tracks. I recommend jetboating in Queenstown and a trip to Milford Sound if you can manage it, New Zealand is a beautiful largely unspoiled place, you're in for a treat.
  21. Maybe get ahold of Todd at Wolf Creek racing?
  22. Come out to ZDayZ this Saturday for some motivation, it's not too far from where you're at. www.zdayz.com
  23. The great thing about a Porsche and an early one, early turbo too is you can recoup what you put into it and then some...not so much with an S30.
  24. Great video, wish I could go work for Tadashi Ando and learn from him how to really love a car back to life.
