  1. If the angle is too much I wouldn't run it. You might the run the risk of breaking something.... Parts are expensive enough as is. My train of thought it is if you aren't comfortable with how it looks than do something else. I will eventually run a set of s13 coilovers on my car and I plan on doing it with using the Maxima ball joints as mentioned in a previous post. Another mod I would do is a complete s13 rearend subframe swap: diff and all. It would give you more control over adjusting. Also by running the s13 hubs you can run the brakes as well, something to keep in mind. EDIT: ^^^ subframe swap requires some beating with a hammer if I remember correctly.
  2. With the prep cost and coating it was $50. Under hood temps are down and that makes me happy.
  3. Got a heat shield because heat soak was killing my injectors as you all know. Long story short I got my heat shield coated with Cerakote, its called socom blue.
  4. If people have fit LS1 engine in their cars with a similar displacement then I think the swap would be possible.... You would have to make custom mounts for it and would need to probably need to modify the exhaust manifolds.
  5. Search for vg/vq swap info in the forums.
  6. As the title states, looking for an N42 intake manifold heat shield. Let me know what you have. My zip code is 74145, I have money in hand.
  7. Here's mine, cooling off in the rainy afternoon. Ha, it has definitely changed since I uploaded my sig pic.
  8. Good luck with this, please keep updating and let us know how it goes.
  9. Also butcher in this other thread here http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/76341-s13-coilovers-s130-chassis/?&p=726579&hl=mack&fromsearch=1&do=findComment&comment=726579 It says "with all the math, I figured I needed to put the ball joints out about 1.25" on each side to keep the stock S13 geometry. which is still kind of screwed up anyway because the control arms on the 280ZX are actually longer than S13, but at least the strut angle is right!" Anyways, I hope that helps.
  10. Yes I think he gets that.... If you had read the entire thread you would realize what he is actually trying to do which is take a 240sx(s13) front hub and mate it to the 280zx(s130) suspension; so he can use the s13 coilovers easily. What he is saying is that the maxima balljoints he used didn't work like they did in this thread here http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/76341-s13-coilovers-s130-chassis/?&p=726579&hl=mack&fromsearch=1&do=findComment&comment=726579 That being said, please read the entire post, before making yourself look ignorant. We all know the maxima suspension is different thank you, have a great day. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please PM me and I will be happy to answer them in a timely manner as I see fit.
  11. Any update with this? I'm curious as to what is going on, and what problems you are encountering...
  12. I'm curious what WTD means.....
  13. http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/timing/mechtime.html Try this, hope it helps....
  14. I'm glad I'm not the only who covered up my taillight openings like this, ha
  15. Did you check the PCV valve, it's under the intake....
  16. Im not sure that many people get these cars for mileage. At least I never thought "hey, I know of a fuel efficient vehicle, a Z!"
  17. Excitedly waiting to see what you came up with....
  18. Maybe they left the water jacket blocked on purpose, not saying that it is true but you might check it with a regular gasket and then modify accordingly...
  19. I never said I was going to run without vac advance,,,, You guys assumed, I was merely trying to answer to some questions I had floating around in my head and was trying to understand it too... Ive read multiple times about getting horrible mileage with mechanical advance, that's why when I rebuilt my distributor I put a new vacuum unit on it. Thank you guys for all your help in this matter. I learn sometimes it just takes a bigger hammer and a lots of beating for me to get it.
