  1. Its been a while now, but from what I remember, they were both adjustable, on the soft settings of the shocks, the ride was very nice. I kept them more on the firm side for performance though. The sways, along with same width rubber front and rear, dialed out a lot of the understeer.
  2. L28 86mm These are the slightly domed ones. It turns out I need to have my block rebored as it is now slightly out of limits after rehoning. Unfortunately, they don't have these in oversize anymore. They are currently mounted on my rods, so I can't put them for sale yet, but they are new and have new rings also.
  3. this is what I did. I got some led turn signals from somewhere on line, but I don't remember where. Just some small amber LED lights. I covered the stock grill with the same type of wire mesh that is on the airdam. The lights are small enough to fit between the slats on the stock grill, and I covered them with tinted vinyl, to hide them (although it does cut down on their brightness quite a bit). I cut mounting holes in the mesh wire and bolted them onto the wire grill that overlays the stock grill. (contrast and brightness added so you can see them)
  4. when I got them, the sways were 250 and the shocks 419, but both were on sale. I think they are more like 350 and 550 normally.
  5. you need a special soda blasting rig, sorry.
  6. I had Cusco sways and Tokico D-Spec adjustable shocks on mine and the ride was great, even with 19s.
  7. Cool. I'm getting a new 3'x3'x3' oven delivered today. I may be less reluctant to do wheels in the future, as I have slowly upgraded all of my equipment.
  8. You shouldn't use sand most importantly because of the above mentioned silicosis. Its extremely harmful to your health. I use black beauty or black diamond coal slag. If you have a northern tool near you, its about $8 for a 50lb. bag and works great. For paint stripper, I like the Kleen Strip in an orange can from home depot. Brush it on liberally and then put a plastic trash bag over the body panel to keep it from drying up. It needs to stay wet to work.
  9. Also, Eddie Radatz Motorsports in Kennesaw. He only does Z's, and is the only other person I will let work on my car.
  10. Dan, you can borrow my porter cable orbital if you want. I don't see myself using it anytime soon
  11. you usually have to pay extra for a lift gate truck. like the others said, just have it delivered to the hobby shop.
  12. I do that very thing myself often. Usually because I want the UPS charges on my account for tax purposes later. But, I bought a used glass top for my corvette and of course it came in damaged in shipment. I was able to file the claim myself and get it all taken care of without much hassle.
  13. Eric, thanks for stopping by! I can't wait to get the ones with the Wats! Thank you so much for desigining this for us, assuming you did, since its your car!
  14. interesting John, thanks for your input. Mark, did you ever get your part?
  15. I will be putting the same on my rebuild. I thought I read where he said to only hook up the vacuum for the brake booster and none of the other lines to the manifold. Do you have the pcv and valve cover vent lines hooked up?
  16. Big Phil, I wish you were closer! I love PC parties! Here is a hint of the cosmetic direction that my rebuild is going in, candy lime green, thanks to pictures Cruez put up of a motorcycle wheel he did.
  17. I've got a CF clutch I bought from DemonZ, a Fidanza flywheel and 82 5speed that will be going on my rebuild. There has been some badmouthing of the CF clutches, but it was cheap.
  18. it could in the lower gears, but not in 3rd/4th, just ran out of steam. no ecu, and everything else was fine. It did run a little rich though.
  19. yes, you can. it will have 7.3:1 compression and won't want to go much above 4700 rpms under load, but amazingly, will have a bit of low end grunt. At least mine did before I disassembled it to rebuild with better pistons. (former owner was planning a turbo upgrade, so rebuilt it with turbo pistons. I am replacing them with Nissan Motorsports Euro pistons).
  20. whichever one I find first will be painted green shortly thereafter!
  21. At least you are recovering nicely! I still may need your help if I get around to getting the motor back together before you go back to school! Its been one thing after another. Couldn't fix my crank, so I just got another, and ordered new bearings, which won't be here until the 8th.
