  1. although the picture makes it look orange, victory red actually is a true bright red without any orange. Another good red is redline from the 350z.
  2. My wife lost her code to install it. We have the disc, but if you could share your code, we would appreciate it.
  3. had to be fod, those patterns are just too similar to be anything else. Sorry Austin, whatever the cause, it sucks, but the good thing is you found it now, and not in the middle of nowhere on a cold dark night.
  4. yeah, Yasser Arafat's wife emailed me about 2 weeks ago to help her get some money out of some account too! Why would she pick me of all people?
  5. when I moved here to atlanta 9 years ago, I met a guy at the Z club, Rob Fuller, who now has a shop in nothern cal, and he had mentioned having some stuff from turbo tom. I never realized he was from atlanta.
  6. it would be 8.8, up from 8.6 with the standard one. I was looking at about 10:1 with the other pistons though, and more of what I wanted. Either way though, it will be better than the 7.3:1 of the old setup.
  7. Mine is already completely disassembled, just trying to figure out what to do with it.
  8. but if the block is the exact same outside dimension, and the center of the bores are in the exact same spot, how can the walls be thinner if you bore it to the same specs as an L28? The book also says they have the same bore spacing, so why can't I? btw, if I can, my block will be available, real cheap, so don't talk me out of it!!!!! Unless you have a good reason
  9. since its the same physical dimensions as an L28, and basically the same block, I don't see how a 3mm overbore could be a problem, especially since an L28 has room to go to 89mm.
  10. I know I started out all bass-ackwards in my planning and prep, but this motor will go back together correctly!
  11. If this Idea won't fly, I have a friend who is dying for me to take his old 260 engine off of his hands, and I will just have it bored for my 86mm motorsport pistons. Then I just have to sell the set of .5mm flat tops I just bought, but that should be easier.
  12. I already spent $400 in labor plus the new cam getting this head redone for the motorsports pistons I intended to run.
  13. Will I need to shim the cam towers if I use it?
  14. According to 'how to rebuild your Nissan/Datsun OHC engine, The Maxima L24 had 8mm bolts and both big and small end bores were smaller.
  15. thats another good one! It was on last nite too
  16. thanks! I will order the pistons first this time around! doh!
  17. What do I tell the machine shop. I want to go up to a 87mm piston (.04 over), do I tell them the size of the piston, the size I want the bore, the over bore? Also, what is the acceptable bore size range (min/max)? Would I just add 1mm to the stock ranges? Thanks
  18. of the 3, I would go for LMB, its a very pretty color with lots of visual 'pop'

  21. Stock exhaust manifolds from a C6 LS2? I have no intention of swapping anytime soon, but they look like block huggers and could possibly be an inexpensive set up for someone here?
  22. street legal indy car. neat video too! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Street-legal-Indy-car-Dallara-Race-car-See-Video_W0QQitemZ190057588225QQihZ009QQcategoryZ98064QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  23. don't know yet. it depends on piston availablility. its just one thing after another!
  24. I would love to read them if you do!
