  1. .58 p-trim .. probably closer to 4200
  2. The engines tend to get "stacked" on top of each other when coming over the pond. OIl or tranny fluid is common to find in the spark plug holes. Don't be too alarmed when you start it up for the first time and it smokes like crazy. Whatever gunk that has leaked into the cylinders burns off after a few minutes and the smoke clears. That has been my experience with both JDM pullouts I have purchased. regards, Mike
  3. Nice work... can't wait to see the results w/ more psi and some more efficient turbos
  4. Looking good Jamar!! I can't wait to hear about the first drive. Regarding the radiator support, this was my old 400hp turbo L28 car. I had trimmed away the rad support to allow the air filter hose amd intercooler pi-ping to all enter/exit from the drivers front. I noticed no ill effects.
  5. Yep, just looking at the differences in the 60', a .5 in the 60' will equate to approximtely .75 in the 1/4 mile. That'll put you at 9.35 with no other change Lookin solid!!
  6. Here is the timeslip breakdown... 60' ... 1.395 330 ... 3.741 1/8 ... 5.722 MPH ... 122.44 1000 .. 7.454 1/4 ... 8.915 MPH ... 153.60 Mike
  7. I haven't had any issues with the Walbro GSL-392 pumps I have run in the past. I run twin pumps now. My neighbor is running a Walbro GSL-392 in his turbo L28 240z that I ran for 4 years in my old turbo L28 and it is still going strong. Measure the voltage at the pump, good ground at the pump, and if it is truly the pump, and you bought it new a week ago, try returning it to the vendor you bought it from for a replacement before you give up on them and change you fuel system... just my .02
  8. WOW!! You were able to buy it?! Welcome to the 2JZ club Looks like 2JZGE valve covers though... Does it have a GTE bottom end and GE head? I'm jealous
  9. Very nice Yasin, it's easy to get caught up in the "while I am at its". I am sure you will be pleased once it is together and running again. It will be a whole different car.
  10. I use the Toyota bellhousing. I too would wonder about clearance issues with the TH400 bell in the Z tunnel with the engine back on the firewall. I know it would not fit in mine. I barely have room for the Toyota housing. Regarding the stall. With the GT42, you'll need a little spray to spool the turbo, unless you go with an unstreetable stall converter. Scottie and I both run 4200 stalls. I am satisfied with mine, and I run a Precision 76-GTS (same size wheels as a GT4202, but a different turbine housing). I do spray to spool the turbo, as does Scottie... Regards, Mike
  11. Wow, I'm humbled... I am familiar with RREV Motorsports as well... They do some impressive stuff. Amazing how small the racing community is...
  12. Nice job John!! It's been a long time coming.
  13. I don't remember for sure, but I believe I purchased a 2JZGTE JDM pullout from them a couple of years ago... Shipping to a business address in Florida was around $300...
  14. Hi Jerry, I am running a 76mm, but I am considering an 88mm... Regarding the cage, mine went through inspection with flying colors. Just make sure you have the right size plates to weld the tubing to (I don't remember what the required size is), and also make sure the tubing is the correct thickness for the cage cert you want. As far as my car, I am battling a gremlin that has had me perplexed for over 2 months now. I have been through the turbo, the wastegate, the tranny and converter, intake, piping, couplers, intercooler, injectors and still don't have an answer to what is going on. Once I build boost, the car just noses over. It happened at the track back in August. I make a couple of normal passes, then the 3rd pass, the car nosed over and went 20+mph slower and 1+ second slower and I haven't been able to figure out the problem since. I don't want to clutter up this thread, so i'll stop there. I'll eventually get it figured out, hopefully in the next couple of weeks. It is going into prime track weather here in Orlando!! Cool and dry...
  15. Dang it GUYS, I am going to have to start shopping for a larger turbo to even try to keep up with you all!!! I can't wait to see these projects take shape...
  16. Walbro GSL-392 is the inline pump you want. (I run 2 of them)
  17. Beautiful work!! I look forward to the vids!!
  18. Enough power = not possible... The power of a car I am driving doesn't scare me. It's when I am riding with someone else in a car that has some power that scares me. I don't like not having control of what the car is doing.
