First time I helped my buddy on his 240Z L28 w/ triples changing the cam and he dropped a stainless steel bolt down the front cover. Stainless equals no magnet DAMN IT so front cover came off.
One other time on the same car we adjusted his cam timing and he dropped the cam bolt washer down in the front cover. We tried all my magnets and nothing. Last attempt he had it unbeknownst to him and as he was pulling it out it fell off the magnet and into the pan. So we hooked the cherry picker up, loosened the mounts jacked the motor up and pulled the pan. Reinstalling the pan the pan slide right in and then it hit us. You can't remove a L24E with the engine mounted but the L28E you can doahhhhh the motor didn’t have to be jacked up….
Anyways we all feel your pain man…
Year and a half later (don't ask) I picked the block, crank, oil pan and my L28ET rods (for sale in classifieds). The block and pan were painted Nissan blue. I pan was modified to fit my Blitz oil temp sensor in the same spot where the stock one was.
I am waiting on my Ferrara valves to come in so he can do the valve job and get the head back to me. Also he is assembling my Ross pistons to the Pauter rods. Here are some pics I took in the garage today. I didn't want to take all the engine bags off.
Whooo Hooo!!!!!
Nahh it was probably in the Toyota booth.
AND would you think Nissan would have a 240Z in their booth??? NOPE it's all about the new junkx the three-fiddy-zeess.

Go with Tokico springs but if you want to slam it get the MSA ones. My buddy had put 240Z MSA lowering springs on his 280Z and it was low. Should get similar results on your 280ZXT.
If you are due for struts/shocks, springs get the combo from Tokico.
Brandon,
IMHO, no flares but lower it down a touch.
Like this:
LOWER
A LiL Bit More
SLAMMED
