  1. Probably what he spent on it. But who gets what they spend as a return on a custom rod? I have seen a custom, show, restro mod 240Z go for 32.000.00! We'll see.
  2. Yep....damn near always. Bad things can happen to good people. But if your a tool.....count on it.
  3. Tacoma? You poor soul... Jons words are right on hit. Dark, damp, cool. Of the four years I "spent" there, there was acually one year where the forth of july fireworks actually were set off. The cloud ceiling rose above 500 feet so one could actually see them. There was also one year where I waited for the one month of sun, only had two weeks. It sucked to wait so long for a summer that never really happened. But I was in the music scene for a number of years and I can attest that there are a lot of bands and venues. I played most of them. Even the garlic fest. Thats a must see. Think it has past already. The Darrington classic rock fest. Opps that has played already. Thats right, Seattle is closed now! just kidding! Yep pick up the Stranger and you will find plenty to do there. The town is famous for indoor activity.
  4. I know that this particular post was many days ago, but no kidding, still this morning I was tooling down the road towards work and thought of this quote. Still giggling about. Dont know why, just funny to me. I am supprised that he didnt try to negotiate another round from the bike. like "Ok, ok this time me leathers helmet, gloves, and I'll give you 20 more MPH".
  5. Here's an option if you can find what your looking for. They have some nice wheels and some panasport lookalikes. http://www.imagewheels.co.uk/pages/wheels_cast.html
  6. Got cha. Still wondering about the master cyl. A little spendy but, so is a non stop. I'll check back... Thanks.
  7. When I was skiing in CO, if some one got cut off by a maniac, they would shout "damn Texan"! Every once and awhile they would shout back "nope, California"!
  8. HICKL How did it go. Still good, still fighting it? Report please.....
  9. Got lift tickets? Lived in Denver and Ft. Collins for many years. Miss skiing! But now that I live in Texas, i cant ski. I remember what we used to say about Texans on the slopes when I lived there!
  10. Try this one on for size! Welcome... http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=99731
  11. Yep. The wife says "make sure you keep your receipts so you will know how much your spending". "That way if you start spending too much, you will know to stop". Uhh...ok dear.... I keep my receipts at work.
  12. Front fenders, are they in decent shape? Buckets? Im interested.
  13. OK Try tis one.. With all the torque and subsequent speed you will get from this proposed set up....dont forget to consider the previously mentioned, but yet to be tested, double cross drilled brake lines. Has any one tested these yet?
  14. You will hear this, so let me be the first. This subject has been touched on hundreds of times. I think we should have a sticky on it. The defence that I have for it is that it takes a huge amount of reading to sum up. Every thread has a different goal. You know with flairs, without flairs, stock suspension, coil overs ect.ect. But every thing that you would want to know right down the the brands IS in here. Try some creative search words. The search engine hits on the text and the titles. I'll get ya started with these... http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=112904&highlight=tire+size
  15. Hey! 74_240z. If you are not savy with the fab and weld, you are in a tight spot for a economic solution. You will have to get new rails and a good sheet metal mechanic. Eye ball this link for an over view of whats in store. It's not hopeless, just a big job. http://alteredz.com/structuralmods.htm
  16. Yep I listened to the rest of the interview. Sounds like a five year old that just struck out at the plate. The fact that he mounted up on the bike while cameras where rolling constitutes "showing off". And not seeing a cable bridge that is four and a half inches tall by eight inches wide, well that speaks for it's self. It's the old "Hero to Zero" thing. He tried to go to the cool zone, but didn't have a ticket. Be a man Rich. Denied.............
  17. It may sound mean, but since hes OK, Im still giggling like a school girl. It's the kinda funny one gets from slap stick. And in this case the stick got slapped!
  18. Where did he come from? Toolville. He came outa nowhere. Never raced. Came up with the idea of pinks. Pitched it to the network, and landed it. No previous experience. I love this country!
  19. Looks like a nice ride indeed. Especially considering you can also sail it! But I hear it's painful!! Quote from the ad.... (Quote) "I can not keep it and it hurt salling it, but I have no other choice".
  20. Too much info can be hard to sift through, Yes? I assumed you had gone with the brute. For myself and myself only, I was left with enough assurances. Both from the company, and from the feed back, nearly all positive, that for the street aplication, the brute will do the job properly with reasonable durability and an apllicable warranty. It's on the way....
  21. Yes I hear ya. The ratings That I posted was for the nissan LOM55L. They used to give it a 2 of 5 rating on the road course. I have never really known why. I have only speculated that they were not very intuitive tending to stay "locked" untill forced to do otherwise. But really I dont know why. I noticed that the road course rating for the LOM55L wasn't even on the board now. Maybe site maintence. And yes lockers, auto or fixed, are the call for crawling. No prob there. Either way they( LOM55L) retain a better than average rating for strip/street. .
  22. Your honor, your honor, I protest. Hear say! The Quaife is what it is and has a better than average reputation. Now on the presision gear site, even the company it's self did not rate the Power brute high on the road courses. I just looked and they dont even include the road course in its rating system. Off Roading 4 of 5 Mud Bogging 4 of 5 Rock Crawling 1 Towing 4 of 5 Circle Track 4 of 5 Drag Racing 4 of 5 Street to Strip 4 of 5 Rock crawling not so hot either. Me no rock crawl, me street bully....sometimes.
