Boy, I thought I put a pick of my car to show it's true jackstand roots. It has been like this for a year or year and a half. Lots to go yet.

That sounds nice. I like the new wheels on the G35, heck I like the G35 in general. I can't wait to see what they look like once mounted up.

I went to sears and bought there version of the sawzall. It was $69, or something close to that. Man I've used that thing for so many projects it's not even funny. One of the best tools you can buy.

I think the makers of POR-15 make something that is to fill in dash cracks. I think it is an epoxy putty or something. I'm not sure but it might be something to look up. I know their paint works well. My entire underside is coated in the stuff.

The guy sent me some pics of the head with the work that was done. It is a P90a head but I can't tell from the pics if is Hydraulic or mechanical. Can anyone tell from these pics? Also look at some of the pics, the one of the valves I think I see some areas that weren't smoothed out and the the porting that was done has no polishing. It looks like minimal work was done on the head. He is asking $450, is that too much? I know it sounds it to me but maybe it is just expensive to do work on this head. I dunno. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks.

Here's a quick pic of the Z. I gotta get going on it again. Too hard with work, and watching the 6 month old. Hopefully in the next week or two I will have the LSD rear in and maybe on wheels. I gotta get my buddy over with the welder.

Mike, That is a beautiful car. Congratulations on the purchase, I really like the wheels that you have. Your brave letting your friends abuse your car, not me, people can drive or ride my stuff but don't do nothing unless you can right a check. Seriously, enjoy the ride but take it slow. I would hate to hear that you crashed it because you weren't familiar with the car yet. Heck I would just hate to hear that you crashed it. Be safe and keep it rubber side down.

What is a mildly ported and rebuilt P90a head worth. It was all done at a proffesional shop and looks like it is nice work. I don't know if it is the mechanical or hydraulic head, though. No picture that shows that, waiting for that info. Would that make a difference? I just need a rough estimate of what I should be offering this guy. Thanks.

Mike, I actually used to sell insurance and the difference between the $250 deductable and $500 may be worth the time to change it. I know it sucks to have to pay more out of your pocket if your in an accident but why shell out more dough to the insurance company. Your first year of the change may be more than the $250 difference. Just something you may want to look into.

Mike, I can't wait to see the car with the new wheels on. I bought Kuhmo's for the Z which did you get for the Vette? I bought the Ecsta 712, they looked like a nice tire for the money. I'm guessing you got the Ecsta MX. Don't foget to take shots of the aftermarket parts as they come in.

That seems like alot of miles for a vette. Was it a commuter car? That's like 18K miles a year. I know if the motor was taken care of you can double that mileage and have no troubles, though. I had a ride in an older vette with close to 200K on the odo and man that thing could still run! Looks like a very nice toy, I would be in too much trouble roasting the tires everywhere. What's a set go for on that car. The rears are, what, 295/35 or something like that. 8) $$$$$$, I would learn the hard way!

The interior and engine of the car are awsome. I'm sure the performance is something I can't even dream about, but the outside is just not for me. Too busy and bulbous, sorry guys looks ugly.

Mike sorry I have to say this, but......... I hate you. KIDDING! Just jealous my man, I can't wait for the day to own a world class sports car like the vette. Now I know one else has said this but where are the pics. I want to see the car inside and out, dirty or clean. I would also like to see the new wheels you have on the car now. Come on now, feed my need, I 've got to live through your vette experiance.

Like we used to say when I raced motorcycles. Lean is mean but rich is safe. When you run lean you can get the most out of your engine, question is can you afford to burn it up looking for that extra power. I knew I couldn't that is why I always stayed on the safe side of things. Can't race with a burnt motor.

WOW, I never knew it would add up like that. Sorry if I sounded like a smart ass but that just sounded like so much money. Stinking labor is ridiculous. I'm not sure anyone can give you an honest assesment without seeing what was done, and feel what it runs like. Can you take the car back to the shop that did all the work? I would think after investing the three g's that they would be willing to give you a hand. It sounds like you have a leak somewhere. It's amazing how a small leak can cause major problems. With the mods that you have done you should not feel like the car has less power. Start looking for leaks and go from there. Sorry I can't help more.

It's really hard to say if your putting more power to the ground or not unless you did a dyno run before and after. You should loosse some boost to the NPR intercooler but you should be making more horsepower due to the cooler denser air. Did you really pay $3K for exhaust and intercooler piping. Or was the cost of the motor included, or.......? That sounds like a lot of money. I would think the power delivery would be smoother but you should be making more power at the same boost setting. Take some pics so we can see what your working with.

Those ATI chargers are incredible, and they really aren't that complex. I have seen more than a few of them and for what they give you they have got to be one of the best bang for the buck mods you can do. Come one Mike be the man and make me wish I was you! Hell you have a Vette, I allready wish I was.

I can tell you this. If you buy from Ross you will have some of the best customer service that you can get. I have bought a few items from him and his attention to detail is incredible. Either product will satisfy your needs, but I choose the guy I thought who could answer my questions and help me out getting it set up correctly. Good luck.

Yeah I just another e-mail from someone else. This time the subject was Re:undeliverable mail. Someone on this sight has to have a virus that has my e-mail and DavyZ's. Lucky for me I have McAfee so they aren't getting through. Oh well, just a heads up for everyone.

I just want to know what kind of psychopath makes these things. I mean what kind of person spends all this time making something that will destroy other peoples systems, while being hard to detect, and never get to see the end results. That's like me getting my Z all finished and painted, have the motor running really good and never move it or see it again. STUPID! Oh well, that's my rant for the day. P.S. If you get an email with Congratulations then don't open it.

YOu have a virus and it is sending me emails. Looks like you have the Exploit-MIME.gen. Tell your friends not to open emails from you are they will be infected. If anyone has gotten an email from Davy that says "congratulations! " do not open it if you do open it you will have the virus and will have to take the necessary measures to get rid of it. Now back to your normally scheduled show.
