Holy S#@&! Man they keep getting better, and better. It is the one game that I play till it is 100% done. I can't wait to kill some time with this game.

Why bit the bullet. Call them up and tell them your problem, they'll most likely send you another one. I know some people don't like MSA but I have had mostly good experiances with them. They sent me the wrong poly bushings for my rear sway bar, I didn't find this out for about 6moths-1year. I called told them my problem and they sent me a new, correct set right away. Give a call, you might be suprised.

The Assistant manager finally called me today. He appoligized for taking so long to get back, he is working in another dept right now, yadda, yadda, yadda. He agreed that thee must be something else wrong and that I shouldn't be having these problems with my rotors. He is making the appointment and having the Service Director (who actually drove my car before I owned it) involved so we can resolve this. We shall see how they take care of me, I'll let you guys know afterwards. I found out on Nissans sight that my car has two recalls (Tranverse Link and Accelerator stop) as well as doing a change to my headlights for a better theft control. Thanks for the help guys, as I said, I let you know what they do.

I know why the rotors warp (excessive heat causing hot and cold spots that then warp the metal) but I why should I accept that as normal when I never had it happen with any of my other cars. I do mostly highway driving and I purposely brake easy and early so I don't have the pads sitting in one spot after a high speed braking scenerio. I am just amazed that they would warp in less than 12K miles and that the dealer would shave the rotors, not replace them, under warantee. Looks like I may call Nissan North America, the manger never called me back today either. I really hate how you have to revert to threats and overall ugliness to get anything done at a dealership.

Guys, Sorry to put a non Z related question on the forum but I know there are guys on here that are techs for other brands of vehicles so I'm guessing that they could give me some insight. I have a 2002 Nissan Maxima that had warped its rotors before 12K miles had even occured. I took it to the dealership to have the warranty work done to it. Instead of replacing said rotors they shaved the fronts and rears and gave me the car back. I found it odd that they didn't replace the rotors under warranty but said nothing. Here I am less than 12 months and 12K miles later and the rotors are warped again (22K miles total). I took it to the dealership to have them fix it and they are telling me they want to shave the rotors again and that it will cost me $140 of my money. I said forget it (who the heck would shave the rotors again, they would just warp that much quicker?), give me my car back I'll deal with this another day. I tried to contact the Assisitant service manager by email and phone but he never contacted me. I tried this 3 weeks ago and tried again today only to get voice mail (I left him one). What should I do, and do I have a leg to stand on? Is this going to be a oh well, looks like I am buying and changing rotors weekend, or are they reasponsible? I thought any work done to car under warranty was then warranteed for 12 months or 12K miles. I don't know, it just pisses me off paying that much for a car and having to pay to repair something that shouldn't be wrong with a car. I have had plenty of vehicles with 60K miles and no rotor problems. I was thinking of contacting Nissan North America and filing a complaint against the delearship, for not repairing the car correctly the first time. What do guys think. Thanks for the help.

Hey I need a # I put the pic in my sig but don't have my # yet. Heck, my car has been on the stands for 2 years now. I wish I was rich then it would have been done a year ago.

Wow! That is some nice work he is doing. Looks like you found one heck of a welder. Looks like you will have a nice finished product. If I were you buy the guy a case of his favorite beer. It's inexpensive and makes him feel appreciated, and keeps the good work coming.

I can't stand people and the way they raise their kids. That is the main reason my wife and I are looking at homes with 10 or more acres of land. I don't want people and ther idiocies polluting my kids brain. The longer I can keep my children from people the better. Kids will push to find limits (so will adults ) and my limits are very low. Too many people are worried about being their kids pal or buddy and not their parent. People just don't understand that if you set limits and punish your child fairly and consistantly they will respect you and still love you. Damit all, now you got me mad. Man I hate people; all of em.

Ok, ok I was hoping to get my wheels on before too long but might as well add my name to the list. The thing has been on jackstands forever and won't be under its own power for a little bit yet. Thanks. I will post some pics tomorrow.

There asses should be on fire on that second one. The first one is amazing. I don't know how you wheelie a little scooter like that. I would like to see him wearing some kind of gear though.

That ain't the only thing that looks good when it's clean shaven.

I'm not seeing the lady cop pick only a red X. Has it ben removed from the site he was pulling from?
-
It amazes me on the amount of JACKASSES that pollute this earth. This guy is such a waste of skin it's not funny. I hope he was hurt and arrested. Too bad it takes those kinds of extremes to get through to people.

Looks like you are doing some nice work. I will be getting into the bodywork stage of my project. I will be learning as I go along the way. Good luck and good job.

Everyone enjoy the Holiday, and eats lots of turkey. Now remember this extended weekend is the perfect time to get some Z work done.

A buddy of mine has a Dodge Cummins. He did some work to it and now it puts more than 350RWHP and 900ft/lb of torque. He took me for a ride in it and needless to say it hauls ass. He said it will whip up on his M3. You should see the smoke screen that thing lays. Diesels just dump so much fuel that I guess they can't burn it all. Pretty funny looking at peoples faces behind you.

I've always been an RX-7 fan. I would love to own a Roatary turbo car one day. Too bad most of them are beat to hell. Good luck on the swap, I can't wait to see it run.

Well, were are the pics. I want to see some of the freshly painted Z.

I turned 32 about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I act more like 20, though. I still like my toys.

I don't know some of the lines remind me of the ferrari's. It might just be the angle that the shots are taken from. It looks like a nice car, elegant yet muscular.

Pics of my coil overs, brakes and cv conversion.

Thanks guys. Took some time cleaning these bad boys up. Nothing like 26 years of filth to make them dirty. It won't be the prettiest car on the block, but it won't be the ugliest either. I just can't wait to see how this thing handles. -
If you have ridden other street bikes, than it isn't that bad. Just don't wind up first gear. That is the nice thing about the TL. It is a powerful bike without being scary. The R1 was alot more intimidating, but I loved it. The R1 definitley was the best wheelie bike I have ever owned.
-
Bill is right. It is the mono shock for the rear. It is an Ohlins shock. Swedish performance all the way! They are one of the top performers in motorcycle/snowmobile suspension (Penske is the other). The TL has a very strange suspension system where the spring and damper is seperate. If you look at the second bike pick you can see the spring on the side and underneath the seat is a rotary damper. The damper is basically garbage so I got lucky and got the Ohlins. All I have to do is set up the forks and away I go. JKDGabe I sold the R1 when we had our first child. I didn't want the payments. Then I found out I can't live without a bike. I found this one and it was mint. My buddy had one of these before and I just rememeber the V-twin rumble.

Just a couple of pics of my newest toy. I just bought a few months ago. Another Sorry the snowblower was int he way. It is a '97 TL1000S. The bike doesn't even have 3k miles on it yet, and I road a few hundred on it. This bike even has it's original tires on it. I've already modded the airbox, put stainless lines up front and has a Yoshimura box to richen up the fuel injection. My newest prize is this I bought this a couple weeks ago for less than half of cost. It has never even been uesd. I have lower fairing from targa coming in, and I would still like to get an exhaust. I can't wait till next season. Here I come twisties. 8)
