I've been looking for a newer snowmobile on craigslist. The thiefing asshats from ebay are on there now. This guys is trying to sell me this I live in Germany and will send you the sled line. He even had a fake shipping site to go to. It was http://www.globaly-logistics.com . The site has some dead links (a sure sign of fraud) and they only took money orders and western union. Yeah right, I'll get right on that. I also found out that they were selling the same snowmobile in Austin, Tx. Who would a snowmobile there? Oh well, I reported them to Craigslist and got the adds removed.

Mice will chew anything that they want. I have seen nests made from all kinds of things that would make a mule puke. My KX250 filter was the last thing I saw them in. It was the foam filter with oil in it and they made the nest out of it. Yuck!

Those are nice bikes. They are very similar to the CBR600 F3-F4 in power and how they handle. Not the fastest bike, but it is comfortable. I would buy it in a second. You don't see yourself coming and going and they are supposed to be reliable. Good luck, and enjoy.

Stay safe and get home soon. You gotta get home to the Z after all! I am thankful for everything that everyone does over there. Keeping the peace is not an easy job, but sometimes necessary.
-
You guys have Harbor Freight, don't you? They sell aluminum oxide, glass media, and walnut shells. Hope that helps.
-
How much boost are you running? That sounds like a healthy car for the road. I would think 11's would be very obtainable with the power you are making. Good luck!
-
Looks good. It doesn't matter what other people think. As long as you like it. The flat black paint is really in with the street rod crowd. Will spray can paint hold up?
-
Is that finish smooth or textured? I am sure it will hold up since it is for truck beds. I POR15ed my engine bay than coated it with their topcoat black. It looks ok, good enough when the engine will be in. I have actually covered the entire underside of my car and suspension parts in POR15. Not cheap or easy but well worth it when I won't have rust problems down the road. Good job on the work. I wish I had my sprayer when I started this.

Wow, that looks like a major undertaking. I am getting ready to start stripping and working on my bodywork. I am hoping that I am not opening Pandoras box. Everything looks pretty straight right now, with only a little rust on the lower rear wheel well area. Good luck with the rest of your bodywork, it looks good so far! Great pics, too.

Sorry it took so long, but here are some better pics so you can see how it was mounted. It looks like it is solid on the bottom so I will mount it that way. How do you do the ends, though? Do I use a glue to help keep it down? What type? How should I fix the holes in the fiberglass spoiler? Do I just use bondo, fiberglass reinforced bondo, or should I stuff it with fiberglass mat and resin? I am new to bodywork but trying to learn and do a good job at the same time. Thanks for the help.

Mgood, Our spoilers look very similar. I am not sure they are the same, though. I will take some pics of the wing now that it is off. There were no studs in the end pieces, though (at least not that I remember). Whoever mounted this thing was not thinking long term. There is rust around the holes were it was screwed in. Luckily it seems to be only minor surface rust. What a pain. More crap for me to fix. Good thing I am buying a welder. I should have pictures up tomorrow. Thanks for the help, guys.

how frequent are your oil changes?
PETEW replied to grumpyvette's topic in Gen I & II Chevy V8 Tech Board
I personally use Amsoil. I can honestly say it is probably the best oil out there. Just like Mobil 1 and there 15k mile warranty Amsoil has a 24k mile warranty. You change the oil filter at the recommended intervals and top off. I have more than one friend that have been doing it this way for years and have 150 to 200 k miles on their cars. No one has ever had an oil related issue. -
Hey guys, I tried doing a search to see if anyone gave a good description on how to mount a rear spoiler, but came up empty. I was wondering if anyone has any good advice. The wing manufacturer I have is unknown, but I don't like the way it is mounted. It is just screwed into through the top of the wing into the car. I can't believe this is the correct way to mount it to the car. Here is a pic of the car with the wing (sorry for the quality of the pic, but it is the only one I have). Is there another (better) way to mount the wing. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks for the help. Pete

how much horsepower is enough?or what does it take to scare you?
PETEW replied to randy 77zt's topic in Non Tech Board
Yeah, it is hard to make a car perform with any of the modern bikes. What are you ridding? Is it a TLR, ZRX1100, or something like that? It sounds like you are in the same horsepower range as my TLS. It's not an R1 but it still is fun. I am hoping to have 400+ RWHP in the Z when I am done. I am hoping that will fill the need for a little while. Who know, though. You can never have enough HP. -
Man that car is beautiful. I really like all the changes made to the body lines. It makes the car look exotic. It must be nice to have something so different than everyone else. Make sure that puppy is well insured.

78zlt1 I was just looking at those at Harbor Freight yesterday. I just didn't get how they work. I am guessing there is a piece that is behind the panel? If so I don't think I could use it, since where I need to weld it will be enclosed then (In front of the rear wheel). Too bad about the cost, on the tabco parts, but what hasn't gone up. I was just worried about the quality. Thanks for all the info guys. I'm gonna practice welding some scrap fenders now.
-
When you guys are welding in a patch panel do you recommend a butt weld or a lap weld. I have heard that it is harder to butt weld but lap welds only cause more rust problems down the road. Is this true? What are your experiences with both? I was looking into buying some patch panels from Tabco, and I wanted to see if anyone has experience with them I need the panels for the Rear quarter lower front section. Other than rust there my cars body is solid. If anyone can give me some tips it would be very helpful. I am also trying to make sure that Tabco is reputable. Thanks for all the help.

Wow! Those are some very serious #'s I feel like singing a song.....Did you ever know that your my heeeerrrrrroooo! Your everything I wish I could be. OK, I'll stop now. Good job on those HP figures. I wanna hear how she is on the street.

I didn't say I knew why he would want the old lugs, but you would be wrong about being about being able to reuse them. Why do you think they would change from going in and coming out once???? Unless you put them in incorrectly.
-
If you do care about the studs you just put a nut on the end of the lug and then hit it with a sledge. Woks like a charm and you don't ruin the old lug. Hope this helps.

The auto darkening helmet has to be the best thing made since sliced bread. It helps me actually weld where I want to weld. When you have limited skills, like me, than you have to use every advantage you can.

Moridin, I don't think your post sounded like you were attacking anyone. I have Zaino products, and they are good stuff. But you are right it is a ton of work, and best used on something that is worthy of that time. Right now, I nothing that is worth that time. I am wondering about using a microfiber. I would think it would take almost everything off. I know most products tell you to use 100% cotton (u.s. made not import because they will say 100% and not be). Interesting.

I wish you luck on this one. I know my Z motor started acting up before I pulled it and started to change everything. With that mess they had in the 80's it is hard to find the problem sometimes. It actually sounds like you have the exact problems I had. TPS and AFM issues. I gave up and went with an SDS system. Good luck. Other guys will be able to help you I'm sure.

Neat video. I like that show, very funny. Too bad he got the year of the 300zx wrong. should have said 1990's. Oh well.

JE for our cars are not cheap, no matter where you go. If you order through Summit, you can get Wiseco or Ross, for a much better price. There are a bunch of people on this forum using both pistons with good success. Hope this helps. P.S. Does anyone know what the deck height of the ZXT block. I have heard 207.85, 207.87, and 207.95. Not big differences but I would like to know which is correct. Also anyone know the ring radial thickness of Total Seal rings? I can't get a hold of them and need this to order my pistons. Thanks.
