  1. umm...kirkey makes good racing seats...corbeau makes good every day driver racing seats(oxymoron) Simpson seems to be the big harness company. I going to be going with some Kirkey road racing seats in a 15" or 16" width and some camlock Simpson harnesses.
  2. This is a pretty cool one I took while cleaning my L6 before powdercoating. WATER...STOP!
  3. Well since there are a bunch of hybridZers that are out there and getting of the age to buy houses (I'm getting there) I thought I'd see what starter houses people have? I am going to be getting a house in about 4-5 years and want to DIY... I was thinking a nice cute little house for 2 people and a garage out back 900-1200sq ft house($35k-$45k) big (30'x40'?) steel shop out back...($17k+ $10k for tools etc.) 3 acres at $7-$10k an acre?(in the boonies) Basically I want a place to live for a couple years after I get married with the right woman and run a business doing custom fab work: welding services, custom cars, custom fabrication for resturants, farm repair, etc... you know...the dream hybrider's job. Maybe a single bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and living area is all that is really needed. I sort of like this floorplan. The standard price is $44,000 for this house. and I think it is a lot cheaper if you build it yourself... Would it be worth it finding a similar plan with a second bedroom? I'm not really sure but it may be better safe than sorry if a young un' got dropped off by the pelican. www.wildernesscabin.com has this plan: Do any of the older, more experiecned guys have reccomendations of what to look for? ideas, suggestions or any good info on a first house? I obviously have some time before I buy a house but I figured that since I am already saving for it I should plan for what I want. Any other Hybriders want to show off their first houses/shops/property?
  4. I think he means at Z***.com from what sparks said...
  5. I'm sure I'll make it up there...The problem is I'm on the other side of the country...Good ol' GEORGIA lol I guess we'll see a road trip some time...
  6. Hey ron...I get first ride when you are certified to fly... And I can crate up my car so you can carry it back to your place with your 2 seater heli with the Z strapped to the landing gear... That way you can install my EMS and BRAAP can work some magic...
  7. I just got the shortblock back together. I picked up the block around noon today. The main bearings were OK but not great. The rod bearings were SHOT so they got replaced. now I just need to torque the rod bolts down and then start setting up the head and getting #1 piston at TDC.
  8. I would not mind a few real "looking" flames like on this bike stuff.
  9. did a coat on about 3/4 of my Z last night... I am really slow with this... roof, rear quarters, hood, rear pan (keeping my hybridZ logo) Right now I don't really care how good it looks...As long as it looks decent for my http://www.killboy.com "photoshoot" when I go up to the Dragon in May... I may enter the ZdayZ car show just because...Like last year when the car looked like it was STRAIGHT out of a JY and it was in the show...
  10. cleaning the block: clean(or so I thought) and shiny: another shot of the powder
  11. haha thanks davy! The valve cover is getting done the same color but other stuff will be polished. All the "other" aluminum like SUs and intake runners will be polished. The outside of teh car is so anti-bling so when you open the hood it will be such a suprise to even see a clean engine in there...much less a metalflake painted engine. I have a pic or two more I am uploading right now...
  12. I think Austin should go with black...since he likes wetsanding... MOTORHEAD427!!!! Those colors are sweet!!! You are KING on photoshop!!!
  13. back on topic...pretty cool flames on a Z... You just have to get a good dynamic flamer.
  14. By the time you NEED that much exhaust you SHOULD be using a fuel cell...IMO but that is just me. I also don't see it worth spending nearly 2 grand on wheels to clear stock spring perches... but if you have coilovers and a fuel cell then you may be deserving those cool wheels and exhaust from the power that the boom box under the hood should be making.
  15. And get the $10 or whatever warranty...sure, get it IF you get the warranty...
  16. I think they installed it into a M1 Abrams tank...the only thing it could fit into...
  17. no more pics... I think it was just a display motor...
  18. Browsing the web and found this...
  19. I think it has an allison turbine engine. This is the ultimate hybridz!! I wonder if he is still running the stock rear end...
