  1. I pmed you before. I still have a 75-78 RHD dash available. Pm me if your interested.
  2. Has anyone used one of these welders before: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160436431474&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en Im in the market for a decent plasma cutter, but I noticed that this unit also does Tig and stick welding. I really want a TIG also but im not %100 sure of how good this unit is. I have done some research and found out that they come from china, but usually the reveiws are pretty decent for their price. Im just curious If anyone has actually use this machine and could provide some feedback on it. Thanks In advance.
  3. You might want to double check, but I dont think they make watanabe's in 17inch for that specific type.
  4. Just wondering if anyone on here has an account on the Datsun Roadster forum 311s.org? I am having trouble making an account. The only reason I cant make one is because it asks an anti bot question( that being "What is this website all about?") Every answer I give it tell me that its incorrect. So if anyone who has an account on 311s.org if you could please pm a Moderator for me and let him know im having trouble making an account I would really appreciate it. By the way just in case your all wondering, I cant even email any of the mods because it asks me to log in to pm them
  5. People who do not know what they have and try to make a quick buck off of things. I talked to a guy who swears that the 240z first came out in 1972, and thinks his rusted out z which has been siting for 15 years is worth ATLEAST $6,000.....
  6. Its kind of on hold right now. Im in the process of getting a small shop opened up right now and money is tight too. Hopefully soon I will be able to finish it off. Honestly right now i just need a little bit of rewiring and it should be ready to start right up. Hopefully soon I should have an update.
  7. I was just wondering what everyone's opinion was for having a strut bar with only one bolt mount on the strut tower. If its not a big issue I could get a couple of sets for the z cars for a good price(If there is interest). Im just worried if since the bar will only have one mounting bolt on each side, if it will sheer the bolt off. Any input would greatly be appreciated. Here some pics of what im talking about. The front bar has a semi-flat shape to it, the rear strut bars are actually round. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks in advance.
  8. crazy stuff... here is link of the in cab video of the crash. http://s256.photobucket.com/albums/hh189/turbojoelz/?action=view&current=Kismet.flv
  9. Its a long shot, but check to make sure that you did not pinch the fuel line with the jack when you were lowering or lifting the car.
  10. Its not a true projector. In my honest opinion, they are just there so that they can be called projector headlights. Its just a piece of glass that does not project the light well at all.
  11. I have used them before. Although they are advertised as Projector headlights, they are not. They scatter light all over the place(especially if you want to use an HID kit with these lights) just my .02
  12. slammed68: .... :hail: :hail:
  13. LOL I hope this is supposed to mimic the original die cast car (used original mold?) and not the real Z432.
  14. The 2+2 firewall will work, If you look at my RHD conversion thread, you can see what needs to be done to get it to fit. If I remember correctly my front clip came from a 2+2, and I installed it on my 75 coupe.
  15. Not much giong on right now. I have been swamped with side work so the car has been on hold for a bit. I did hit a snag though, I installed the cracked RHD dash in the Z for the time being until I get the dash I am restoring finished off. The problem I have is that I need to extend a plug from my Sr20det harness to my Z harness, when I check the plug on the 280z FSM it makes mention that the specific plug im trying to extend leads to the Fuel Injection harness. it is a 6pin plug with only 4 pins being used. the colors are: White w/red stripe Green w/blue stripe Black w/yellow stripe Black w/white stripe the problem I am getting is that on the RHD dash I do not see the same plug that would connect to it. I am assuming that they are different colors. Can anyone help me to figure out which plug to connect it to? I tried searching for a 78 Fairlady Z FSM but I cant seem to find one. Anyone know where I could download the FSM?
  16. I believe what your looking for is right under the search bar, it says: "View New Content". That will take to all the newly replied threads.
  17. HAHA!!! got some more work done today:mrgreen: Did some sanding on the dashboard. I got a pretty good shape already, I just need to touch up some spots. After I worked the filler, I decided to primer it black to see how good the body work is so far.... well its going to need more work:icon45: Most of it looks good. The hard part is the gauge bumps, im trying to make sure that they look as identical as possible to each other. It not perfect, but so far looks a lot better than I expected, but still has some rough spots needing to be fixed. Here is my little goober spot I need to fix. This spot is kind of difficult since the dash had warped and cracked so bad around there( I did fiber glass work to the worst looking dash, just in case if I would have messed up then I would not feel as bad about it.) but It looks a lot better than before. Once I get everthing straighened out them Im going to hit it with a couple heavy coats of primer, smoothen it out, and buy some SEM Vinyl Texture coat and Vinyl paint to make it look OEM. Then hopefully it will NEVER EVER crack again..... I hope:mrgreen:
  18. lol Good point Hoov, my brother told me the same thing after I mentioned that I got the wrong size. The belt I got would have worked, but since the alternator is so close to the frame rail, I would have the belt snug just a bit and the Alternator would already be hitting the rail itself. So I need one that is about 1/2inch shorter. mr jdm: looks good, I was kind of worried about how much( or less) contact the crank pulley has to the belts. I hope it does not slip, I will find out when I drive it lol.
  19. lol thanks, havent had too much time lately to work on the car. I did manage to get the driveshaft in, do some more work on the dash, and worked on some electrical stuff, on a side note, im not having fun getting a belt for the thing. Ive already made 2 trips to Autozone( first time too short, second time too long) now its a matter of picking one that in between the two lol. Hopefully I will have it running soon. I did place the extra RHD dash in my Z and I am really liking the 240kph Speedo. I just might use that instead of my Autometer Gauge. Here is a quick cell phone pic of my Z when I rolled it out of the garage. The engine bay looks awesome. I cant wait to repaint the rest of this thing, It will look HAWT!!!
