  1. WoW! lol That answered almost everything I can think of. I do have 1 question though, if I added a 30 gal tank to my system, would the motor and pump I have be sufficient to supply enough air for the bigger capacity? I'm gonna have to read over your post a couple more times to fully understand the system, because it sounds like somthing I want to do so my compressor doesn't run constantly.
  2. you welded up the exhaust with a $100 HF welder? great job
  3. good timing, I was planning on picking up some of that paint tomorrow (except i'm gonna spray it on) to paint a trailer I just got. Did you use any primer, or just clean>sand>clean>roll? the top picture looks great, all that sanding would drive me crazy on a whole car, but great results for elbow grease instead of cash. I'll post my trailer when i'm done. It's amazing what a wetsand and polish will do to dull paint.
  4. the pumps are easy and cheap to rebuild, and most likely if you just re-teflon tape all the connections, you'll have a compressor that will last as long as you.
  5. If I was in the So cal area, i'd grab this compressor in a heartbeat http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/tls/243713574.html
  6. Home depot won't let me link my compressor info, but I have the 2hp running 26 gal oil lubed belt driven compressor. Get the biggest tank you can afford. I can run a sander, or die grinder constantly but the pump will be on most the time. Impact wrench is fine because it's intermitant use, and I got a paint gun rated for my compressors cfm so it will work fine constantly. Overall, the compressor is perfect for my needs because I don't use it all the time. It can get any job done that I need, just make sure the tools you get match the cfm of your compressor. You should look on craigslist in your area for a used compressor, thats how i got mine for $100.
  7. Do what naviathan said, thats the only way to get the source. Be careful with hijack this, don't delete things your not sure about. and you can also use the windows search function to find a specific file to delete. If your not sure about a .exe file to delete, type it in a google search and make sure it's somthing you don't need.
  8. I was thinking of getting that air drier to. What problems did you have with it?
  9. I'm trying to figure this out for a friend. He was driving his 77 280z, l28 engine, and 4 spd trans. He put in the clutch and it started to make a loud clicking noise from the clutch area, and the noise moves with the rpms. Would that be a broken spring or what? It's really loud, and started right after he put the clutch in, now it does it all the time.
  10. I see why people get alittle on edge about these questions all the time. *shame on me for asking them at one time to* lol
  11. thats one helluva compressor...lol... It's funny to, I'm wearing that exact same shirt but I got the long sleeve T shirt on... Good work, your almost ready for some paint, are you gonna shave the rear or leave it?

  13. well, just tell them that you want a engine with more power thats also more reliable. The TT's are really fun to drive though, but they kill ur pocket when somthing happens.
  14. the only problem with those s32's is the engines, they aren't reliable and are expensive to repair. I'd almost be better with a s30, it would be easier to work on and cheaper to repair (unless I threw a 350 in the s32).
  15. I know, i'm kinda stuck right now. I've always wanted a 300zx, but couldn't really afford to buy one up front. And I just found a 280z that i'm about to buy, and this comes up. I'm gonna go look at it on my way to the 280z and see if it changes my mind.
  16. I'd get it, but I want a s30.... But it's a good deal for someone to do somthing with. You could talk the salesman down to $1100... http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/car/241906075.html
  17. It's surface rust from the dent. The car has all new seals and bushings, and comes with a new uninstalled carpet kit to raplace the old. And other than that dent it's straight, and the battery is just dead from parking it. So once the snow up here melts on the roads i'll hopefully pick it up, it's in tacoma.
  18. as of right now, the car is a storage shelf in his garage.
  19. I'm gettin pretty close to buying this Z, the only thing standing out on the car is this dent in the front right fender. What would be the best way to go about fixing this? How hard is it to put another fender on? Thanks
  20. I have a bunch of black and white prints i made and devoloped in photography class in school, but don't have a scanner for those.. this is nothing special because it's with my crappy digital, but the scenery is cool, took in when i was at college in santa barbara...
  21. lol, my face went numb cleaning the snow off my truck. I love it though, because we only get a few days of snow usually. there was like 10 people in the ditch just on the streets i took.
  22. We got 14" of snow yesterday in Bellingham and it got to about 18 degrees last night, and I left my truck outside because it was covered in snow otherwise i would have pulled it in the garage. So I start driving to go to my bank this morning and the temp goes up past 210 and keeps risiing and it never has before, so i pull over and it's bubbling out the coolant overflow tank so i had to pull over and let it cool down, then I drove home since it started overheating less than a mile after driving from my house... Do you think my water pump froze or what? because after i let it cool down it seemed to have defrosted somthing because it started flowing and cooling again after i re-filled the coolant. Anyone had that happen when it freezes out, because I haven't.. here's some pics, we only get a few days on snow in the low elevations, but the mountains get a ton.
  23. supermoto's are really fun, but there not great for a streetbike. They break alot with street use and can't really keep on on fast roads comfortably. My friend has a drz400, xr650r moto, and there fun for tight turns and stuff like that, but not most driving on the street, and the highway? forget about it..lol but if i had alot of money i'd have a couple...
  24. Both the R1's i've owned have run flawlessly under hard riding conditions. I can't really speak on other brands like that because i haven't owned a new liter bike other than a R1. What parts fly off yours? everythings bullet proof on the one's i've had. I wouldn't mind having any of the new liter bikes, i just love how the R1 looks, and the 98 was a big advancement in bikes when it came out so thats why i got that one. 600's are fun for awhile, but the power of them gets annoying for non track driving. If you like to sit in high rpms then there fine, but i love the low end power all the way up to redline of the liter bikes, and i do alot of highway driving so a 600 wouldn't be fun. Glad ur gettin another Z ^, it's cold out to get a bike..lol
  25. And i strongly recomend Sygate personal firewall. Mcafee isn't even close to as throrough as to what it lets contact the internet. And get AVG virus scanner. Both are free.
