  1. sounds interesting, but I like to drive around out of town, and somtimes across the state, and i wouldn't be able to do that since most of those gas stations on the highways don't have natural gas, especially if it was late at night or somthing... so it's basically a local driver if you do this. I don't know if i'd want to have to search for gas if i drive out of town...
  2. the grill is 100% different! lol I'm not really a fan of mustangs, but i was proud of ford when they came out with the new design for the mustang. It brought back a oldschool feel and still looked brand new. Nissan could make a brand new 280z that would be crazy, and could have a fast and economical engine in it. All those car companies are stuck on the boring round sedan look and it's just getting old.
  3. sounds great, but what about long road trips where most places don't have a natual gas refill place?
  4. I was gonna say about $7-$8k. It looks like it has alittle damage on the left rear quarter, and needs paint on the hood? Unless you find someone really into drifting or auto-x, to get the big bucks on a sale you need great body, paint, and rims to go with that drivetrain.. Just my opinion from what i've seen sell. There's always a buyer who will love that setup, so try high and see what happens.
  5. i have a toe nail i just clipped that i need to sell so i can buy a Z.
  6. i'm gonna have to convince one of my friends to do that when i sell somthing...lol, i'll tell her theres a future in it...
  7. I painted my excavator when i bought it, and i did hours of cleanup and prep before I layed primer. The grease and oil that had been on the metal for so long from the pins and bushings took forever to get "clean". I thought it was fine to prime, but 2 weeks after i painted it, the area's where oil and grease would leak from hoses and pins was cracking. So to me, spend the most time cleaning the surface, and if you get all the contaminents off the surface, most paint's will give you a good result for a long time. Goto ur local paint shop, and ask for a good priced primer/filler and i'm sure they'll have somthing to match your top coat paint.
  8. Ebay will only protect the seller when it comes down to getting money back (like your trailer fee, paperwork etc). If you took it to small claims court, it would be a open and shut case johnson...lol... But i doubt you want to go through all that hassle, seeing as it takes like 4 months to get a court date for small claims, atleast around here. Just tell him to either refund your expenses, or your coming to pick up the car this weekend. If he says he's keeping the car, tell him you have the court papers ready and will notify him of the court date (he should re-think it after that). Ebay is a legal binding contract in the eyes of court systems, so you have full rights to the car if you have the money ready to give to him.
  9. It's one thing if you wanted to go the Rustoleum route, and roll that Rust protection paint on. It's been tested and seems to work great for a cheap alternative and good looking (non showroom) paint job... But why would you risk all those hours of sanding and hard work to skip one of the most important steps in a nice paint job? The first layers of a paint job are the most important. If you wanted to go the cheaper route, i'd switch it around and use a really nice filler primer, and use a cheap top coat...but not the other way around. and especially don't mix those kinds of paint... Nice auto primer/filler isn't that expensive compared to the risk of cracking and bubbling and peeling in a few months after all those hours of arm wrenching sanding, etc.... Do it right the first time and it will be worth it.
  10. I should probably start looking into investments, i just put my money into my savings account. Mike, if you were 22, and had about 8k in your savings account, what would you do to make the best of that situation?
  11. I want to go L6 for my first build since it's a bolt in, but my friend's L6 seems to have problems constantly and he's always frustrated with it (but it's fast when it's running). Since u want a really reliable engine with power, go SBC. Big trucks with 350's get like 12 mpg, so a light Z with a well built 350 could easily get 20-25mpg and have all kinds of torque and streetable power. I've never been in a V8 powered Z, but i love the thought of all that torque of a 350 in such a small car. Other than the thought of bad gas milage, why don't you want a SBC?
  12. I love it when it snows... I just sold my 4x4 toyota pickup, but i use to take that thing out when it snowed at night and drive around town climbing hills and doing donuts in the parking lots...to much fun.
  13. thats a great idea, but wouldn't it be hard to integrate it in the post function?
  14. It wouldn't be so bad if i drove a civic or some little car, but i have a 91 3/4 ton chevy pickup and get like 10mpg or less it seems. I might sell it to get a diesel f250 with the 7.3 or a ram if i find a good deal. I read the consumer report of my truck and it got great reviews in everything except gas milage, it was the worst in it's class. Maybe should have read that before i bought it because the diesels get 16-25 depending, and have so much more torque.
  15. I've been trying to buy that Black Pearl 280z in the hybridz section, he's still got it for sale, i talked to him on the phone but i'm still waiting on more pics, so don't delete that one. If there's any help i can do i'd love to moderate that section or do somthing like that.
  16. $2.60 here. Still raping us daily
  17. I thought i read that the Scarab position resulted in cooling problems with alot of people?
  18. I heard u can run vegetable oil straight out, but u can't let it sit for periods of time without driving it or it will clog like u said, i'm not 100% sure though
  19. it would get all Jelly like if it just sits there right? My excavator is diesel so i'd love to have some cheap fuel for that...
  20. U can run straight vegetable oil if ur setup right. I really hate spending 3 bucks a gallon when my truck gets like 10 mpg, the gas just dissapears along with my money.
  21. yea it's legal. I don't know if u watch that show "dirty jobs", but they had a episode filmed here in my city where the guy went to different restraunts (one being Diego's, there burittos are good.. ) and got there grease, and then processed it in his garage. and get's like 45 mpg at like 45 cents a gallon.
  22. i thought u might wanna put some dust on that new mustang...lol..
  23. no answer... I'll try both of them, thanks
  24. Z's stand out for all the right reasons, and ur's with a 355 in it make's it that much better. Looks like u got the fastest car there right? nice pics
