  1. This thing is sweet, I thought u guys would enjoy it. To bad the 5.9l is 'alittle' to big to throw in a Z, otherwise it would be amazing, lol.
  2. GO! (it's make the win that much more fullfilling when u beat a 50k car) Cummins or powerstroke?
  3. when shows like "are u smarter than a 5th grader" and "american idol" are a hit, u know theres no hope for good tv... The only shows i like are "the shield", "how it's made", "mythbusters", "survivorman" and all the animal documentaries....lol,
  4. is the $6200 Canadian? If it's USD, then u got a great deal on the truck, because even retail value is $5700, private party is way less. If it's Canadian than it's about a fair price for it. Isurance companies have no problem hounding you if u miss a payment or somthing, but once u actually need them they stutter like crazy. Since i've been driving we've paid the insurance company about $7200, I should have just got the physical side of the insurance for medical bills and if I hit someone else, which would be alot less and put money in a closed account the value of my truck, lol.
  5. I have a 26 gal 2hp(running) belt driven oil lubed compressor, it can be wired for 220v, or 110v. It's great for impact guns, ratchet wrench, paint gun. But when I use my die grinder or sander, the compressor kicks on after about 15 seconds, and if you use the sander or ginder constantly the compressor will run the whole time, I haven't wired it for 220v, but i assume it would run better on that.. Thats why I bought a electric orbital sander, and a electric 4 1/2" ginder, there alot better and quieter for my use. The compressor draws more amps when it's running constantly, than running a electric tool, so theres no benefits with a smaller compressor really, unless ur painting, or using air wrenches.
  6. Get urself a 2nd gen dodge ram dually with a 12v cummins... I Just got 21mpg City driving! And it has enough power to pull a house.
  7. Thats cool they'll run the lines inside free, if they didn't do that, it's not as hard as you think if you learn how to put drywall up.
  8. if u were closer i'd dig up all the lines for you for cheap. I've got my own light excavating business. When u contract people to dig it up it can get pricey, they'll either bid the job (most likely to get the most money, or 100-120 a hour just to dig it up). You really should go rent a excavator for a day and trench it yourself. $160 a day up here for a 6000lb excavator, can't beat that if you have some free time.
  9. Don't have any action shots, but this was my first truck...91' toy 4x4 5spd. wasn't built that great, but it went ANYWHERE I tried to take it, and was a great daily driver. Would have put a straight axle in if I kept it, but I needed a tow rig for work, and when they mounted the tires I forgot to tell them to put the black side out, so the white lettering ended up on the outside, lol. ...The second pic is my true 4x4 now... Cummins turbo diesel power baby, once i get some extra money and after i put a 5spd in the Dodge, I wanna get a early 80's toyota and build it up.
  10. i've done some interesting things with it, lol. I didn't have a impact socket for the size bolt I needed to get off, so I cut one of those tire iron lug nut wreches and welded it on a 1/2" drive socket and I had the right size impact socket, lol. It comes in handy so much, i'd reccomend it to anyone.
  11. women are very unstable creatures.... It's worth doing everything you can to fix it though, for ur son's sake. It's funny coming from me because i'm bad at it, but communicate with her and tell her how much she means in ur life and take it from there.
  12. well i ended up getting a MM175. I used flux for awhile but after switching to solid wire and gas it was incredible. It's so much easier to get a good weld, and control the penetration. Plus I love the smell of c25...lol. it does smell kinda good, prolly not good to inhale it though.
  13. trismpa is gonna have fun with all the lawsuits, u can already see them coming.
  14. I finally learned that about welding gloves. They protect your hands until there so hot you don't even know it until your hand is almost smoking.
  15. it took 14 days when i ordered mine, and it's only right down the coast, and they had them in stock.... See if u can get a tracking number.
  16. I don't know how the bears made it so far with the offense they have. There defense is good, but they can't be serious with that offense. Colts just outplayed them hands down.
  17. a couple things i found, but that dodge might be over my head, needing a rebuild etc...but with a new engine, I could have a 98 dodge cummins for about $5000 http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/car/273496674.html http://seattle.craigslist.org/see/pts/271118704.html
  18. yea that trucks kind of a monster to, lol. I'm starting my own light excavating/hardscape/landscape business, so i'm trying to get the right setup before I start working on my own. I've got my truck, excavator, and working on getting a bobcat. But a diesel has to be priority for me because like I said a 350 can't do it everyday.
  19. oh gotcha, lol. I was thinkin alittle bobcat. Man, i can only imagine towing something that big with a fullsize truck. It amazes me how a cummins inline 6 diesel can have so much torque potential. same with a duramax, both in stock form are torque monsters. I haven't seen a duramax for sale by itself, but I wouldn't turn one down if I found one. Because if I can get a engine trans combo, theres really nothing to the swap other than maybe a driveshaft shortening, and a transfercase adapter. wiring is just annoying, lol.
  20. yea, some stupid 16 year old kids were racing a couple days ago here and killed some 60 year old lady going for coffee in the morning, and one of the kids was burned completely. It's still fun to slide some corners and what not, but i've learned the hard way seeing 4 of my sisters freinds in highschool killed because of reckless driving. don't get me wrong, i like to race around, but i'm growing out of it on the street.
  21. well i definently can't afford a newer truck with the duramax. But i've heard someone with 1000 hp and 1950tq on those things, so they have to be built tough. Is ur trailer REALLY heavy or what, because isn't the heaviest skid steer about 8k or so? I've got a mini excavator I tow, thats why i'm in need of a diesel, because a 454 gets horrible gas milage, and a cummins has more torque stock and gets great milage for a fullsize.
  22. my neighboor had a 97 1 ton duelly ram, non turbo i think, and he said that thing would pull 12k without even hesitating, and anything less than that you couldn't even tell you were towing it. He just bought a brand new quadcab with a ho cummins. The 7.3's seem to get pretty bad milage compared to even the 12v cummins, and less power to boot. But i've heard good things about the 7.3 IDI if your like me and can only afford a early to mid 90's truck.
  23. pretty good deal. I like how those engines handle in those trucks, my dad has one and it sounds great and seems to pull pretty well even in that size of a truck. it'd be a great reliable engine for a Z. the junkyards here usually sell that engine for 900-2000.
  24. yea i've got the tbi in my chevy, it's been a great engine, reliable and enough power for light towing etc, but it just doesn't cut it for real towing.
