  1. Nice job guys! Mine is VERY close... completely assembled - including all the odds and ends like hoses, wiring installation is done. Gonna put the dashboard back in (all wired up already) this weekend. The only other thing left to fire mine up is to run the new fuel hard lines and fill it up with fluids... If I get time to do it this weekend, I should have it running and totally drivable by Monday - fingers crossed. Waiting on a few parts to come in which they should all arrive by the weekend - needed an extra piece from Lokar, the Tach, and a bunch off other small things etc but I am there!
  2. Since NC is not "that" far from Florida I'd consider holding him to his commitment and trying not to take a loss - I agree with John - it's only time at this point. I realize that it will be harder to manage the project from farther away, but pictures and email should help. If the guy is truly honest and reputable he should make good on it. I also LOVE the idea of contacting the local news (or at least keep it in your back pocket as leverage when you need to push him) - they would definitely run that story for you! If they don't, let us know and all us hybridzers will call/email the station and help convince them
  3. I'm curious to hear how it works out... Most of the major auto makers have avoided larger displays directly in front of the driver for ergonomic and night glare reasons... Not good having a bright light shining in your face while driving at night. If your display has a dimming capability that would help greatly. Pictures would help as well
  4. Once I get the new fuel lines in, I'll be REAL close to starting mine! Just waiting on a few parts deliveries to arrive which is the only thing holding me up - I'm going to have to send my tach back to Speedhut to have them redo the blinker LEDs - they wired them to receive 12V instead of pulling to ground - So I'll be calling them tomorrow
  5. Any more updates? I might have my ls1 running next week as well! Working on the new fuel lines today and should be able to finish them up tomorrow. If all my parts arrive on Monday I could be running by the weekend! We'll see who fires it up first
  6. Wow! you're almost as fast as this! http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=lgwF8mdQwlw&feature=player_embedded
  7. Clive, Are you going to use the JCI stuff for the AC compressor mounts? I'd like to see what ya do for the AC lines. Also, if you're looking for a LS2 from an 06 GTO my buddy has 2 of them with VERY low miles
  8. I have a bunch of old pulleys and even a prototype serpentine setup that bolts to the 280zx damper that I'd sell cheap! I think you could put them to good use! BTW with the 6.75" inch drive pulley I was able to get to 13.5 psi of boost out of the MP62 - although I was pushing it. With your after cooler you should do really well! I also started to experiment with a couple different cams - Schneider has the specs on the last one they did for me (I have misplaced the cam card sorry) - might be worth calling them to pick their brain - don't go with a real radical cam! Mine had hardly any vacuum and it was a total PIA! We got it right the second time, so learn from my trial and error LOL... Check your hood clearance at the end of the SC! As the hood curves down that's the tight spot - mine didn't clear, but a cowl hood worked fine
  9. Very nice job! It looks like you've mounted the SC low enough to avoid any hood clearance issues - The real clearance challenge is the SC snout towards the front of the hood (basically the front pulley). As far as the drive pulley - I had worked with BHJ to build a custom serpentine pulley and it may work for you as well if you've designed your system to mount the serpentine pulley on the front of the damper. You can call them http://www.bhjdynamics.com/ and ask about the 6 rib serpentine pulley that fits on this pulley http://www.bhjdynami...products_id=131 that they did for me - Ken Jones I sold my supercharger system and it's now in Japan, but here's some pics from the gentlemen who bought it from me after he installed it on his motor in case you'd like to see it for some "ideas":
  10. Vin - Thanks! Regarding number 4, I'm wondering if I have to do something slightly different... The speedhut gauge faces required that I had to remove the charge light from the gauge. Is the charge light required to be in the circuit to turn the alternator on like it was to turn the Datsun alternator on?? Any ideas on wiring the gauge without the charge light? On number 2 I am close to being able to test the blue wire to actuate the compressor using the stock dashboard controls - should work fine if the diagram is correct. I don't want to add any additional toggles if I don't have to...
  11. Would you mind sharing the spreadsheet particularly the details on all parts and conversion stuff required to get the car running? - just the mechanical/electrical portion?
  12. Regarding the IAT Sensor... The stock sensor looks like this: I'd prefer welding a bung into my intake pipes so I need this style - Will this work with a 2002 PCM? http://www.diyautotu...ctor-p-116.html It states that the specs are: Temperature Ohms 48 degrees F 7000 87 degrees F 1930 146 degrees F 560 I have been unable to find similar specs for the stock IAT sensor to understand if the one at DIY is compatible
  13. Look here - post number 22 http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/82026-jci-ac-mount-alignment-issues/
  14. I like having 2 1600 CFM fans - plus this gives you redundancy if one fails. Also, you can stage them, with one fan coming on at lower temps and the other coming on at higher temps or when the AC compressor is on...
  15. ill buy the adapters if kash doesnt

  16. i would also buy the adapters if kash doesnt

  17. That link I provided had the part number listed and seemed to match my compressor perfectly - If Valeo is the actual manufacturer, might be best to go to them directly... You can try this link: http://www.worldaire...atalog_2010.pdf
  18. I'll take the adpters alone if still available...let me know!

  19. Yes I know Jimbo real well! When you're in town again look us up!
  20. Dude - putting on a new caliper, not bleeding the system correctly and putting your son in a car with hardly any brake pedal? What the hell were you thinking! Totally irresponsible!!! You could have killed yourself or some other innocent bystander... Total knucklehead move bud!
  21. I had a little better luck - hope this helps - please let us know what you find out so we can further clarify You can try this link: http://www.worldaire.com/pdf/Seltec_AC_Compressor_Catalog_2010.pdf Look for Valeo Part Number 103-52038
  22. I have the speedhut gauges and I had them add a check engine light and LEDs for blinkers, the brake light, high beams ect. In the case of these gauges the power is supplied by a single wire to the guage, then to turn the indicator lights on, they pull to ground (as you have stated), so it's super easy to wire them up. Makes it real easy to wire them since you don't have to provide power and ground to every light.
