  1. I actually worked on my fiesta (not festiva) today. I hope its going to be out of paint jail soon.
  2. A local Z shop gave me $200 for mine. They had a customers car apart in the shop that needed it though.
  3. You guys are going to hate on my 24"s arent you...... Wait thats right I DONT have 24's for the Z hahahahah
  4. I cant wait to see how it fits.... There is a $300 S12 that im sorta eyeballin right now
  5. Yeah, enco is about the cheapest/easiest place to get ok quality tools
  6. Ive pushed mine maybe a mile in the last year or two.... from one shop to the other..... before it went under for major surgery it was bout 3-5k a year I think.
  7. You can still order performance parts for those hudson motors. We did a Hornet a few years ago that had headers and a carb upgrade along with some bumped up compression and a cam. I like the way it looks. Its a four door right?
  8. It looks alright...... Wait..... who am I kidding, it looks awesome!!! Im hoping my car comes out that well when all is said and done!
  9. That is for a whole wheel, they have some pretty nice billet centers and make whole wheels
  10. My dad had some 13" shells made @ $150 each. I could only imagine a 17" being more. If you call them, make sure to have that tech sheet filled out, it will be easier for them to give you an estimate. The whees you have now are advan's right?
  11. This is the only place I have found so far ... http://www.kodiakracingwheels.com/ Im interested in doing the same thing with this set of Work Ewings I just got. They arent cheap.
  12. THAT IS AWESOME!!! It would be cool with some newer speakers, and bigger wheels..... you have to buy 8 of them though
  13. Ah, I didnt see you were in florida. of cource you need the A/C! The car looks good by the way.
  14. Welcome! Are you going to run the A/C? If not I need those lines haha
  15. Yeah, I made freestyle walking up cause I couldnt remember what it was called. I think its way cool as long as there isnt property distruction. Extreme Gymnastics is what I think they called it on the tv program I saw it on.
  16. Man, they should punish parents for raising childeren that are F***ups like that. We have always had problems with kids in the industrial park my dads shop is in. They will break into the enclosed trailer, steel the broom that is in there, then tag the outside of the trailer..... So a story I go into. There was a group of kids that usually came through and would do the 'freestyle walking' or 'extreme' whatever its called where they like jump off of roofs and scale walls and crap. So usually these kids would go away once you told them you called the cops.... well one day they came through with a video camera, and were jumping on some parked vans and we actually called the cops.... BUSTED!!! with video evendence of them breaking windows on these vans, and denting the roof's and hood's. So the cops came over and said they kids were doing this as a 'school project'. the cop had a good laugh about that one. I havent seen those kids since either.
  17. Yeah, 7" wide and 0 offset is usually a good bet
  18. I say get some fake aligator skin, they have material that looks like it.... or you could use something more normal. ok so you could use some velcro to attach it. It would be removable to show off the aluminum dash, and would block the reflection when its installed. The velcro should be strong enough if you used like a 1/2" strip around the edge of the dash.
  19. I would say if you got a quality file, and kept it clean while working, you could do it that way. Also a dremel tool with a quality bit in it could work as well. I 'may' have to hammer my strut tower a bit, but its got almost an inch clearance, and my motor shouldnt be moving that much. As for the turbo, I will be getting like a 100* bent aluminum tube to weld to the compressor outlet. I thought about the silicone like J. has, but I think it would end up melting that close to the exhaust manifold. Ill also be making some sort of heat shield to over the first three runners, so the compressor housing doesnt super heat being that close to the header.
  20. Yikes, that is pretty cool. I always wanted to do a triumph chopper, or a 4cyl chopper. Im pretty happy with my current bike though, so no more projects for me.
  21. Your first one is backwards, if you have more frontspacing than backspacing the offset number would be -19. And I can say for sure that 41mm offset would NOT be something your looking for on the Z. that would end up being sunk into the fender like 2" not a great look IMHO. Here is a backspacing vs offset guide you can use. http://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html that has an excellent chart of offset vs back spacing. If you want to get fancy you can use this calculator http://www.venommotorsports.com/library/tirewheelcalculator.asp enter you numbers and see how far you 'inboard increase' and 'outboard increase' is to figure out exactly how much you want the wheel to sink into the fender. Hope this helps. Kenny
  22. I would think any maxima pan would work, since they are all front sump and L motors. I used to have an extra LD pan laying around, and I might still have the pickup, I will look tomorrow. What do you need it for if you dont mind me asking?
