  1. I should have one later today. I`m leaving in about an hr to pick up a 77 parts car if anyone wants anything else let me know
  2. do you need the inner yoke on the drivers side halfshaft? and do you also need the splined shaft that slides into the diff?
  3. Solution; Build two cars. One well manered turbo 6 to drive on a regular basis, and a v8 monster as a stoplight viper killer It`s a hobby, just like watching sports. A second project is just like another season, and you have total control of the outcome
  4. I can`t believe how much people will pay for an r200 The most I would feel comfortable asking for one would be maybe 75.00 Any more than that seems like too much. I suppose a hard to find ratio might be worth more
  5. I agree with Mike. About Japan for motorcycle licence, I think it is a great idea requiring riders to work there way up. I knew a 17 yr old kid when I was younger, who was killed riding a zx10 at well over 100mph, but this goes back to the parents responsibility as well. What parent in there right mind would buy a 16 yr old kid a bike like that . When I was learning to drive, my Mom took me out to a large parking lot in all types of conditions(wet, dry, snow, ice) to learn how to recover from a slide. We also spent alot of time in heavy traffic, learning to anticipate other drivers stupidity. All of the tickets that I`ve had in the past were for speeding or driving under suspension, and all tickets were recieved after 10pm. I`m not saying that I don`t speed during the day,it`s just that I usually drive faster at night or early in the morning when traffic is light. Bottom line is, It`s the parents job to teach the kids to be safe and responsible, and it`s the states job to punish them if they`re not.
  6. clue me in on the grassroot 2003 challenge
  7. imagstation is down right now, so i`ll have to check later. thanks for the reponse
  8. Is there a # under the hood(above the brake booster) in a 240, like the one in the 280?
  9. Tim240z, are you planning to sell the flange adaptors any time soon? if so I`m interested. I could have them made by a friend who is a machinist, but if the price is right I`ll take a pair of yours. I`m in no big hurry,I just like to keep the ball rollin
  10. Ohio is 2 points for everything except reckless op(4 pts?), dui 6 pts, and driving under suspension is 6 pts. Points drop off after 2 years. I had to do 10 days + 150.00 bucks w/ costs, and that was 15 years ago (when they weren`t as strict)
  11. I would use a chemical stripper over a DA where possible. there will be less chance of rounding the crisp lines of the body, and less chance of causing heat warpage on large areas. my .02
  12. I think it was Honda that produced a turbo 500cc bike in the 80`s. I`ve never riden one though, so I can`t speak to drivability.
  13. I signed in too One more suggestion would be to add Canada for our northern friends. I think this will be a very usefull recource, that hopfully non of us will ever need, but why go without a safety net if you don`t have too. For now I`ve got my Ohio info listed. but if anyone is in need in eastern Alabama, I listed my cell# so don`t hesitate to call.
  14. I haven`t started driving the Z yet, but the tool box I carry when I travel weighs about 150.lbs and there have still been time that I didn`t have what I needed
  15. In Ohio you lose them at 12 also. I just racked them up faster than they could get me to court. Not to mention 2 driving under suspensions in less than 12 hours(6 points each)
  16. It sounds like a shift fork has broken. The trans must be locked in 1st, and shifting engages another gear. Causing them to "push" against each other.
  17. We`ll probably have to bump it up tommorow. Not too many people here on sunday eve.
  18. I had 36 points before I turned 19
  19. I personally wouldn`t hesitate to make a 100 mile run with my trailer to help out a fellow Z`er in need. I`ve driven alot further than that, just to walk around a mall all day
  20. What are my chances of running the s&s 1 3/4" long tube headers, and getting them to clear a wide moroso 7qt oil pan?
  21. While searching for some MGB info, I ran across an mgb helpers list. After looking over the list, I thought it might be a good idea for us Hybridz`ers to compile and post such a list. It would be nice to know that help or access to some tools would be available when traveling far from home. Here`s the link to use as an example. http://webferret.search.com/click?wf,+%2Bmgb+%2Bnashville,,lonestarwebs.c om%2FMGhelp.html,,fastsearch Let me know what Ya`ll think.
  22. while on my way back from memphis today, I saw a tubbed 83? 280zx being trailered to the track on 78 west. I`m curious if it is one of our members? It looked like some pretty nice rides were being hauled in tonight, I wish I had time to stop.
  23. The inboard cv is the floater. Are the shafts hollow or solid? they feel relatively light to me. I forgot to tell them I needed the driveshaft too, I guess I`ll have to call them monday morning. If anyone wants an r230, email me and I`ll give you the #. there regular price is 275.00 but they are pretty flexible and willing to deal. As far as I know, I got the last of the shafts though.
  24. I got one heck of a deal on an r230 and 4 axles. 350 bucks and all parts have less than 80k mi on them. WOOHOO It took 11 hrs of driving though
