  3. Nice find!!! I see you're in Branson, what are you building? Might have to swing by and see you some time. David Rogers, AR
  4. Screw 540, let's hit the Pig Trail or 71 much better suited for Z cars than 540!
  5. Stuck me behind the barcode too. I see a growing trend here.
  6. Here comes his buddy from the other direction to give him a ride home after they tow that beast off to the impound lot. Love the iron cross.
  7. I agree, it would have to be sold as a package. Now could you PM me a price? If I abandonded my 240ZG project, sold off my g-nose stuff inc. headlight covers, zg flairs, powder coated suspension, coil overs, NOS tail lights NOS door panels, LSD w/CV coversoin, Sparco seats, roll bar, SS hood, AZ car brake kit, 383 stroker roller engine, all spares and sold the Scarab hmmmm.

  9. ^^^ Agreed, for $30K I'd consider something like thishttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks___Immaculate-1982-280ZX-21-000-Original-Miles-T-Tops_W0QQitemZ330277264286QQddnZCarsQ20Q26Q20TrucksQQddiZ2282QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item330277264286&_trkparms=39%3A1%7C65%3A7%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245 and have a shop stick the LT1 in it. If you're serious about spending that kind of money on a Z car you may want to consider more of an investment type car such as a low VIN number car, or a complete turn key V-8 car. Interested in a original Scarab?
  10. What did you think was going to happen today??????????????????
  11. Well it took me almost a year to get it to this point, but now it is out to the shop for media blasting, floors, frame rails and sub frame connectors under the car and box in the frame rails up front.
  12. Is this for high school or college? Nevermind....edit. Argumentative English essay based on opinions as opposed to facts, be careful there Ken.
  13. Laquer thinner. Acetone. Try not to get "high", use in a well ventilated area.
  14. 1971 Datsun 240 SCARAB #154 David Sommer rogers, AR
  15. Labor Day weekend. Friday Hallet Saturday carshow on Jenks, OK walking bridge Sunday my downtown cruise GOT TO RIDE IN THIS SATURDAY NIGHT!!! SCARAB DOWNTOWN WILL POST MORE LATER.
  16. VERY nice, smooth. Like how you picked up the front left wheel on the launch.
  17. The one on e-bay is not a fake!!! There are 2 cars numbered #153. It was a mistake on Scarab's part Blue Scarab 153 build date 2/28/79 Red Scarab 153 build date 6/1x/79 White Scarab 154 build date 6/21/79 (mine) I'm guessing the time lapse between the blue and red car (4 months) was sufficient time to lose paperwork/not check the proceeding cars Scarab number. Again the car is real. As the seller states though the engine and transmission have been replaced but are period correct. The radiator and fan are not original Scarab. I believe he does have the original Scarab valve covers (rare!). I've tried to take mine back to as original as possible. It still retains the original engine (bow tie block) and angle plug heads. I replaced the radiator with an original NOS Scarab unit that dat240zg found in Texas and sold to me. I've also replaced the springs and struts with Tokico springsand replacing the original struts with adjustable Illuminas. I also rebuilt the original FIA calipers using NOS Datsun rebuild kits, one caliper piston was replaced due to damage while taking it apart. I still have one rebuild kit and 3 pistons on the shelf, just in case.
  18. Scarab #153 for sale. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=012&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=220267073326&rd=1
  19. Thanks!!! Those strollers are the same I've got twins. You should see the big twin stroller, a side by side with inflateable tires, thing goes any where and doesn't weigh much at all. (this is WAYYY off topic....), only $600 bucks ouch!
