  1. i dont think this board has that option since only a few moderators have custom titles. a mod/admin should be able to change your username for you.
  2. thats understandable. my 240z shell is bent too, and i would get rid of it, but im just gonna try to do a tube chassis. i wouldnt mind having a low VIN series one either, haha. that said, buy it. doesnt sound like its original anymore anyway, so who cares if you modify it. and this guy right here!
  3. whats the reason youre getting rid of the 260z? i never thought id see you get rid of it...
  4. definitely more than that. $300 seems fair.
  5. cool video! looks like fun. yep, ZZ Top - Sharp Dressed Man
  6. the auto --> manual swap can be found by searching. but... a $300 east coast car with visible bondo is probably $300 for a reason. have you checked for rust? z cars love to rust, and the salt put on the roads during the winter only helps them rust more. be careful you don't get a rust bucket.
  7. for a while i thought it was reputation, since i know this board use to have it...but i dont think so. ive been wondering the same thing.
  8. yea, i posted this on another forum and titled it "epic failure..." just after i made it, the thread was deleted... the thread ended up being about me. oops. i did save it though, but dont know how to upload it.
  9. oh...my...god... :lmao::lmao: sadly, i too am a member there...
  10. And more importantly, I don't want to know what they'll do to a Z after hearing what they supposedly did to a challenger in another F&F movie. For those of you who watch Muscle Car on Spike TV, I think you know what I'm talking about.
  11. like i said in my other post, check the location of the lock pulls. the later 280's have the lock pull a few inches more towards the front than the earlier cars. since this is not your first 280z, you have something to compare it to. if not, i can take a picture of ours for you, if you'd like. can you take a picture of the door latches (im more interested in the one on the door jamb/rear quarter)? these also differ between early/late 280z's
  12. the 77/78 280z's locks are different than the 75/76 280z's. i believe the later 280z's lock pulls (i think they're called) were a few inches more toward the front than the earlier models. the rear hatch area is also different on the 77/78 models than previous S30's. my 76 has a full spare tire well, while my parents 78 has this tiny, shallow tire well, and, some kind of wood hatch floor. i dont know what its made of to be honest. im fairly sure all 77/78 S30s has the space saver spare tire.
  13. I got to about 7 seconds. A touch pad is not good for this game.
  14. They look more like Kosei K1's to me, but I could be wrong. Nice car! For a while I wanted to buy an E36 of some sort in a bad way, but decided against it. It just isn't practical for a high school student with little to no income. Although I suppose a Z isn't either...
  15. I have a Willys Jeep with plans to swap in a Chevy 350, and maybe swap in some axles as well. Haven't researched it so I don't know if it's necessary. I'd also like to swap in the V8 from the B6 S4 into my B5 A4 as well. Don't know if I can, but I'd like to try. FWIW, My dad swapped a Detroit diesel into his '67 GMC truck. None of these are terribly extreme though, at least by my standards.
  16. ive got one in similar condition. its got one crack on the top, not very big at all. and one small paint mark on the side. id be interested in knowing what its worth.
  17. sounds great! seems that whoever was filming isnt a fan of your 260z though, haha.
  18. what color is that? looks good! edit: nevermind, did not read...
  19. looks good. i especially like what you did with the grill. did you just combine two 240z grills? do the two cut outs have a purpose? only thing i dont like about the car is the doglegs. looks odd to me, but to each their own. otherwise, the car looks very clean. link to grill pic:
  20. looks like its right, since it seems to follow the contour of the wheel well.
  21. Man, your car sounds fantastic.
  22. Do you have pictures of this? I'm interested in seeing how you flush-mounted the windshield.
